I purchased a alittle Sliver Fox and think it's a terrific headphone amp. It has massive power at 15 watts per channel. It is tonally balanced, with great detail, but also providing a sense of warmth. I'm very happy with my purchase. Btw, Arthur at Power Holdings is a great guy to deal with. He'll treat you well, and provide excellent customer service.

Arthur is the best to deal with, before and after the sale.

Btw not sure if people saw or not but there is a Black Friday promo for the Little Silver Fox, selling for $2049. That's an insanely good price for such a high quality amp.
Taking a bit of a risk here as this is quite a bit more than I have ever paid for a ss headphone amp, but I'm in. Perhaps the BF price pushed me over the edge. Just purchased in black.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to share your thoughts. Looking forward to hearing this in person.

This is probably a long shot, but does anyone happen to have listening experience with both the Little Silver Fox and the DSHA-3F (or the new Nitsch version), particularly with ZMFs? Would love to read any comparisons.

Also I've struggled to find specs about the physical dimensions of the Little Silver Fox and the output impedance of the different outputs for the various output settings. Does anyone know these?

I also have a Little Fox on the way. I can compare with the Aune S17 Pro and Violectric V550 Pro.
Little Fox is a great amp, not as neutral as the V550 (warmer and a touch rolled off on the high end) but I think I like it the best of the three. The Aune S17 Pro is great for the price, but lacks the driving power of the other two. 1266 TC clipping the amp even on high gain.

My LSF arrived today. Tested briefly with the Gustard R26 and HD800S.
current AMP: Headamp Gilmore Lite Mk2

The gilmore has a completely silent solid-state operation, turning on the LSF for the first time startled me due some mechanical clicks (also when turning it off..). I’ll get used to it.

---

Only tested for 2 hours and on paracetamol but here's a quick first impressions of the different modes (only 2 actually):

Normal: Didn’t try this one, it’s supposed to be for low-impedance headphones, I think.

Parallel: Fattest Bass (drum sound like a log). Vocals sound natural. Everything feels clean and organic, but least decay (?). most pleasant.

BTL: Bass is more splashy. I wasn’t expecting to have a “hearing sounds that wasn't there” effect from an amp upgrade, but I did. The sound is lively, detailed. Feels more digital, but without any glare and somehow has more decay compared to Parallel, if that makes sense.

Active-G: This is a bit concerning. The amp starts acting weird in this mode. Both the headphones and the amp were making malfunction sounding clicking and static noise, in this mode, continuously. I may not accurately described it, because I'm not gonna risk this mode again. Personally, I'm satisfied with just Parallel and BTL. So even if it's a QC issue (I hope not) I don't think I'll return the amp.

---

even BTL actually has noisy background (statics on left channel only, right is complete silent), especially when no music is playing. I'm suspecting that it's because I'm using RCAs so converting the signal to balanced might be the issue. XLR cables are on the way. Will find out soon.

Overall I think it's a worthy upgrade from my gilmore. My gustard is significantly sound better on LAN input, and with the gilmore I really need to be on LAN to actually enjoy music. R26 with LSF sound very pleasant even when using USB input. It's an end game setup until I can afford Immanis.

This is very personal and I'm not an expert (also not a native english speaker). Take it with a grain of salt.

Sorry for consecutive post. The XLRs has arrived.
Here's an update.

Ok so despite already using different connector, the BTL (and Active-G) mode still produce static swarm on the left channel. So now I'm stuck with Normal and Parallel mode even though I liked BTL presentation. Is this a QC issue or simply the AMP is too powerful for HD800S?

This is called a no-brainer. Contact the place you purchased it and discuss with them.

on it, your reply is just 1000x faster than how they always respond my message, unfortunately :triportsad: (will call tomorrow morning for better response).
what a bummer if it's really a QC issue. typing this while enjoying parallel mode.

Where are you located?
Indonesia. The store is good, just not the quickest.

I've done some troubleshooting. fast forward. I isolated the amp. So only the amp is directly connected to the wall to eliminate possible ground issue with power strips. and no other electronic around to avoid interference. plugging in my headphone and the noise is still there. So it's the amp yeah, not the cable not the dac. swapping the headphone cable L-R and the noise also moved to right. The only question left is wether this is just how the amp is designed. I'm sure it's quiet with susvara or tungsten.
