I have a fancy ~ $80 SPC cable sitting here and I can't really hear any difference than the stock cable across 3 different amps. Changing to a balanced source has an audible difference - better soundstage, better bass texture - but I really don't think it's because it's a better cable. most of my balanced cables are those $15'ish XINHS SPC units bought off AliE.
The KZ AZ09 Pro and the CRA absolutely destroy any TWS earphones ~$50 if you have aptX Adaptive. It sounds absolutely awesome and easily competes with my Galaxy Buds Pro. It actually beats them for PC use because the Buds can't do aptX Adaptive.
Barusu said that the CRA is the best KZ/CCA they've heard ootb. I agree. The first thing I noticed was that nice clean low end boost. It works extremely well while gaming. The explosions in Ratchet and Clank had awesome impact and texture, and the soundstage was enough to keep the 3D effect of the spaceships flying around intact. I like the ZEX Pro, but this is easily better.
Running off my headphone station, these could easily be mistaken for something much more expensive. All that is needed is a slight boost in the mids near 2 kHz and you're set. I'm also trying different tips, and my spiral dots have made a noticeable change for the better. Vocals and treble extension are basically dialed in, which is remarkable. Some micro detail, imaging, and dynamics are missing, but you'd have to spend hundreds more to get it.
These are quite something for under $20. They don't compete with my Hifiman Edition XS (if they did I'd be worried), and these don't quite surpass the 7hz Timeless for me, but wow. I'm only 1 day in so let's see how they are in a few weeks.
If they added another DD or BA to elevate those mids a bit, keep some detail, enhanced imaging, and kept a crazy low price, these would be absolute monsters.
I agree with the point wide bore tips work exceedingly well with CRA. Bass gets dialled down and mids begin to shine even more. Like it's very close to Heart Mirror which is my bonafide benchmark for a neutral IEM especially in the sub $100 category. It's just mind-blowing that CCA has finally done something which is so unlike KZ and CCA. This is modern day ED9 IMO. Just beats the crap out of the competition in the uber low budget segment.

I'm planning to purchase either this or AZ10. Do you by any chance have AZ10? Would appreciate it if you can share your views on the same.
Very interesting: Basically KZ A09 pro with a shorter time on a single charge for more money. Logic crouches in the corner and weeps silently. 50 mAh vs. 35 mAh.

What's left out is that they are 20% smaller(their number). No logic for the same thing with less battery. The actual logic is since it is smaller it can only fit the smaller battery.
I prefer smaller its totally logical for me as I want low profile, otherwhise its like hearing aid tool, and everyone give me strange eyes….so if they not become even smaller im not getting such thing
