Quick question for the group. How is the cable on the CCA C16? Is it good, or do I need to think about a replacement cable? If so, what do you recommend?

According to the quality of sound, the cable does provide excellent audio electrical current. But, the downside can be be the weight of the earphone housing, which can be a weight issue versus how lite the cables are. So, be careful handling the housing, since the cables has a possibility of kinking and has the feeling of being fragile in this sense.

well there are differences.... my post earlier i have written how they differ with all my IEMS

As long u have the following common cables

dark brown copper cable ( comes as default with many IEMS )
reddish brown cable
The TRN IEM black cables

should be fine.. u dont really need any of those (white) silver cables

I went from one copper-ish to another copper-ish because it was cheap and I liked how it looked better. There might be differences but if so they're comparatively minor and it sounds quite good on the newer purple-ZSN-style cable so I am satisfied. Was mostly posting just so folks poking the thread knew that listing was good for B-style plug IEMs.

I also just like how it looks a lot which played a factor in why I picked this one and why I wasn't willing to pay $$$ when it was just for vanity.

I am trying a new DIY earphone, which I bought through taobao: BCD HIFI micro-drivers.
So, the story goes; A few weeks ago I received a head-fi email from an unknown member telling me that he's a reviewer from the Ukraine. He claims that the BCD HIFI can outperform many single dynamics in the lower price range and can compete with more expensive ones costing up to 1000. Now, he never mentions if it's in dollars, but I can only assume, since he knows I'm a reviewer from America, but living in China. For the price, they are "dirt-cheap" here in China only costing me 53 RMB ($7.67 US dollars)!
...They are not the loudest, but so far they outperformed most of my Chi-FI IEM's with an incredible balanced sound signature!

Sub-bass: Incredible
Midrange: Clear and beautiful
Treble: Clearly detailed and clean
Soundstage: Awesome!

I will write a review on them maybe by next week on the Chi-Fi thread!

It's not just for vanity - the copper cable that came with the purple ZSN (and now available separately) is noticeably thicker than the 'regular' cables. It's got lower resistance and better conductivity.
