CCA in ear monitors Impressions Thread

Thought I'd post my measurements (using a humble Dayton portable mic and some MATLAB DSP magic) of the C12 and BL-03 here. These probably aren't super duper accurate, but I hope they are helpful to get a general idea of their behavior.

Between the BLON BL-03 and the CCA C12 which do you prefer? They are two of the pairs I'm really considering.

Haha!...just as I thought! ...After hearing both of them back to back this week, they have a lot more similarities than one might think. They are both uniqely balanced with plenty of fun factor and full of details throughout the whole range. These are my two favorite budget priced IEM's right now, which are capable of bringing down giants!

Well done! CCA, and well done BLON! ...Cheers!:wine_glass:

How thick are the CCA C12? Is it possible to use them lying on a pillow or do they stick out?
They're pretty much compact and more flush to the ears when compared to ZSN PRO, C16, C10, A10, CA4 and surely the latest ZSX. That's a big improvement for CCA coming from a 12 driver unit (6 driver unit per side). At least my photos below with my ZSX and my C12 don't lie...

C12 is similar in size to ZSN pro, ZS10 pro , C10 and CA4, while being much smaller then C16 and A10, AS12, etc.
With my ears, C12 is not flush, but I use large JVC spiral dots.

C12 is definitely impressed me the most out of my recent IEM acquisitions!

Now being very impressed with C12, my question to CCA owners, shareholders, reviewers and sympathizers: when will C18 (or C20) come? Will it be all BAs??
Possibly with the piezo (?)
C12 has the most agreeable with me DD, but I still would love to get C12 analogue with all BAs, hopefully plus further development step.

To all other, my question would be: any all-BAs under $150 ($200 Cdn) to recommend that you think may be superior to C16/AS16?

I haven't heard the C16/AS16, but my only other all BA set under $150 USD is the Hisenior B5+ (5 Knowles BA).
It is very midcentric and bass is a bit lacking. So it is quite good for jazz/vocals/acoustic genres, but is a no go for bass driven stuff like EDM.
Clarity and details and instrument separation are quite good, but I suspect it may not be as good as the 8 BA type IEMs like your above IEMs. Imaging is its forte. When I compare it to my end game 8 BA Audiosense T800, it loses out in soundstage, clarity, instrument separation and details.
But it can beat my other expensive all BA set (Westone W30) in these areas (maybe it loses out to Westone W30 in bass and fit/comfort).

+1 ...I was really impressed by them as well. They managed to really do a wonderous job on getting rid of that metallic-like steely sound that often creeps-up on certain brighter songs. I personally think that CCA's line up of hybrids do a better job controlling this situation better than big brother KZ, IMHO.

When will C18 come?
Will C18 be all-BAs?
Any piezo implementations?
Other future CCA plans?

(Sorry for too many questions,
just very curious)

I've just received a quick response! He's working right now on the soon-to-be-released... "TWS Bluetooth" :point_left::wink:

That's all I got from him by chat at the moment. :writing_hand:
