Its for those boombox bass sound.
but DQ6 uses same XUN driver and is smaller despite it's big 6mmx2 dual dynamic tweeters

Oh wait, but CSN does have a larger sound stage!

My CSN arrived today. As mentioned, it is quite a bit thicker than the DQ6. The nozzle also sits a bit deeper than the DQ6, which makes a challenge for me to get a comfortable fit.
I'll put a few hours on them and have a play with tips before doing any comparisons.

Looks like there's a new budget single-DD from CCA.

Dear CCA.. Please bring us technical hybrid IEM with Xun dynamic driver such one in CSN... Or why not marry CKX & CSN (CSN dynamic + CKX BAs = CKX version 2 ?)
It seems the IEMs with X moniker are done as for KZs X is part of 'The Terminator' lineup which meant the end of that particular lineup. So maybe they will pick some other random alphabets if they want to create a hybrid IEM.

Revisiting my C16, fitted with KBEAR wide bore tips and 16 core SPC, it is clear that synergy is very important. Via my Xduoo X20 the sound is amazing on these, the tuning is excellent and the soundstage is huge. This is one of the tracks I have been listening to:

CCA C16 are still my "lush mids" stars. :)

CCA could make new acoustic designs, integrate planars and EST/magnetostats, yet... well... Playing with the colours is fun as well :)
It is surprising that KZ has zero presence in EST/magnetostats space. Guess they will join the party in 2021 if they're done with pumping in almost 2 wireless IEMs a month. They should definitely target that space like their other competitors.

I waited for KZ/CCA to have planars and EST quite a bit.
Meanwhile, I got SFR MT300 and TRI I3.

Now KZ has released the 12BA AST, how about the CCA version, after all there were rumours of a C20 last year!

I simply glad they delay C20 until now.
KZ ASX while i haven't heard it personally, the reviews are not kind.
Then KZ ZAX come with nicer reviews,
and then CCA CA16 and CCA CKX come with even greater reviews.

It seems KZ/CCA have great learning progress how to tune this many drivers, here's hoping KZ AST and the possible CCA C20 become even greater than KZ ZAX/CCA CKX.
