Is there a way to rotate screen somehow ?
Sorry, N8ii does not support screen rotation, you need to install a third-party app from Google Play to do that.

Hi guys!
Does anyone know if I can successfully connect N8ii as a digital transport via I2S to Gustard DACS like X26 or R26?

Thank you for this clear-cut answer! As you do always.Nope, we didn't change the circuit design or key components on the audio path since N8ii was first introduced.
Dear @Andykong, time at this moment is much too short to say/write what needs to be said. First and foremost, all the best wishes for you for your break/vacation! May time give you all you need and desire, personally and on the job.
Mid-Autumn Festival is held on the full moon of the 8th month of the lunar calendar. In Chinese Culture, roundness symbolizes completeness and togetherness, therefore, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for friends and family to come together and appreciate the union and completeness of our life. This might be a small wish that we take for granted in the past, but COVID has taught us to treasure every moment of gathering and reunion, and we wish all our users and friend a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival.
I want to share a personal plan with all my partners and friends in HeadFi forum. I'll take a long break later this month, and this will probably last till the end of 2022. I'll stay out of the radar completely and will resurface when I feel confident that I am fit to handle my job again. @Cayin will take over my role for Cayin audio and I'll hand over my ongoing activities and responsibilities to them gradually next week. So if you need to PM me on a Cayin-related issue, please include or address your problem to @Cayin. I really enjoy my time with the HeadFi forum and am looking forward to meeting with you again after my long vacation.
Hey Andy. Congrats on a well deserved break. On behalf of other head-fiers, I would like to thank you for your contributions to the Audiophile community and to head-fi specifically. Without you and your timely and useful contributions, this hobby would have been much poorer. Hope to see you again contributing here before long!

Isn't the tiny bit tad we all look forThis is meant to be just a little story on technical details. When I read the iBasso DX320 review by @voja here https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/ibasso-dx320.25723/reviews, I figured it might be fun to do the same. So I took a little bit of my time and measured the computing performance of my N8ii by Geekbench 5 (v5.4.4, identical to what @voja used).
The result for both CPU (pics 1-5) and GPU (pics 6-9) performance is: The N8ii is just a ”tiny tad“ better than all the DX320, DX300, and DX300 MAX.
Remark: I have no experience as to whether these differences are significant (= indicating slight differences in electronics layout or components?) or not (= whatever inaccuracies might exist in the measurements).
EDIT ADDENDUM: Repeating the measurements in a second run yields results for CPU Single-/Multi-Core Scores and GPU OpenCL Score that differ by +/-1 from the first run shown in the pics. The differences to the DX320, DX300, DX300 MAX are larger than these +/-1‘s, in particular for CPU Multi-Core Scores.
FWIW …
Back to music!
Sure, of course, you are right. That‘s what I meant by ”Back to music“ … It just is reassuring to see that all has been done well by Cayin, including the SoC.Isn't the tiny bit tad we all look for
But CPU doesn't interest me that much, it's a DAP and not a gaming device
Now if we talk sound ... that's something completely different
CPU can be important if you like to use apps that can take advantage of resampling/upsampling.Isn't the tiny bit tad we all look for
