The conductivity would only come into play from the standpoint of internal temperature though, as the chassis is not used to conduct signals. This question is why I was asking if anyone was able to hear a difference between the two at Canjam Singapore. SS, I think, is also a stronger more long lasting material. It is less reactive I am not sure if this makes any difference on a DAP though. Either way I would like one of the two. Tks.Stainless Steel is harder than Brass, But less conductive than Brass as Brass is a Copper Alloy. It depends on what type of Brass grade though. Generally for Portable DAP, the Ground or Chassis will affect the sound quality as technically it would affect the current flow of Active components. Therefore, the sound performances would be different between 2 devices. Whether you can or not be able to tell the differences is entirely up to you though.
How could you justify trading in ? Brass is a superior conductor, and Black is generally better looking (though this is subjective)

TBH I don’t have both but I guess you should go with EE LX since N8 is on the warm side you don’t want Z1R which might be too smooth with N8. I own a Phantom and now want to pair with N8 black (brass body) and don’t know the combination would fit my taste.

If you already own the N8 SS how do you justify trading for the Brass version?
For the look, YES
For the sound, I am not sure as I could not hear the difference for A/B listening between N8 SS and N8 BB during Canjam last week. Will need to audition those again when N8 BB to be released in the next 2 weeks or so

Anyone notice this thing gets pretty darn hot after like 20-30 minutes? Also when playing music i notice the length in the song does not change ir move while playing. Only shows how long the song is, i.e. 00:00/04:27.

This combo has been particularly enjoyable.
I'm tempted, could you please tell us how this match in heaven sounds?

I have tried that combo at Canjam, and it didn’t impress me. I would plug Stellia, Z7 MKII, Aiva, and Utopia or HD800 and 800S into N8. The problem isn’t the N8...it is the voicing of the Empyrean. I even tried Empyrean out of Dave, and then Quest Style as they were all in the same room. Empyrean isn’t my cup of tea, and for the price tag...Mehhzz, not even any positive lasting impressions. But that is meI'm tempted, could you please tell us how this match in heaven sounds?

I'm a metal, hip hop, rock, classical jazz kind of man. It will be for home use. Probably use some hifiman planars or fearless iems. I think the n8 is for me

If you are listening to Classical Jazz I would get the N8. IMO the nu tube sound is worth the money.
