Unfortunately, the R202 prototype won’t be ready until Friday, which means it won’t make it in time for the HIGHEND Munich.

That said, it will debut at CIHE Shenzhen this weekend — so if any Head-Fiers happen to be in the Greater Bay Area, feel free to stop by and give it a listen!

In the meantime, we’ve still brought along some exciting new gear to Munich — including the RU9 and the HA-6A MK2. Come find us at Hall 4, U04 and give them a spin!

I am not able to get Hiby Music updated to 2.1.5 … It keeps complaining that there’s another application installed that prevents it from installing … Even doing a factory reset and then immediately updating Hiby Music does not work … And looking for the downloaded APK and installing it manually does not work either ...
Anyone any clue as to why this happens or how to solve this?

I reported this to the engineering team earlier today — they think it’s a bug and will work on fixing it in future update.

So, it's been a few days now that i am using the E203 motherboard.

I don't know if I am wrong but I don't see it getting the attention it deserves. In my humble opinion, the E203 sounds considerably more mature and musical than the C201. It takes the performance of the N6iii to a whole new level. Class A is just amazing, the sound is so much fuller. It does get pretty warm, you could say hot, but with the case installed it's not much of a big deal.

Completely ageee with you. The E203 board is an extraordinary accomplishment by Cayin that really propels the N6III into a much higher league than its model number would suggest, and well beyond its price point … It also sets incredibly high expectations for the upcoming R2R board … Consider me on board for the entire ride Cayin!

Totally agree that e203 is much better, than c201.
But it still sounds average. Especially at the price point. The sound is thick and musical, but it definitely lacks clarity, airiness, holographicity, high frequency resolution. There’s no special feature in the sound which can attract attention in a positive way. Not bad, but ordinary.
Hope, it’s just a “starter pack” and new modules will be much more interesting.

Let me respectfully disagree with all these statements.

Same here … Currently listening to “You look good to me” on DSD by Oscar Peterson from “We get requests” and it’s as if I am literally sitting in that room with them

Another great example is “The way out of easy” by Jef Parker … Same impression, if not more …

Synergy is everything I'm sure.

R202 when?
Found some info in Chinese internet:

The new Cayin n6ii R202 engineering card has a loose and natural tone as a whole, and its solidity is between c201 and slightly e203. The most unique thing is that this card can switch between R2R and 1-bit DAC. The mid- and low-frequency under 1bit will be more solid than in R2R mode, showing more details and more resilient imaging, so the overall sound will be much more refined.
The R2R vocals will have more moisture, more low-frequency dispersion, and more advantages in emotional expression, which is especially suitable for lyrical songs. Of course, it also has an auto dac mode. In this Auto mode, the R-2R DAC will directly decode the PCM sound source, and the 1BitDAC will process the DSD sound source. Two styles, both are good to listen to, knock on the bowl
