Cayin N6ii, Unlimited Possibilities: a fully modularized smart DAP

My read from this is that the demand for N6ii is still strong. And, we cannot rule out the possibility that these motherboards may even be compatible with their next Android DAP. Of course, this is still far too early to say.
+1. In fact, retaining the current motherboards with a potential next gen Android DAP would be a most honorable attitude towards us as their customers. Having invested in say three DAC/AMP modules is like one DAP; the C9 is like four modules.

Of course, far too early to say. But never too early to request as politely as possible!

Another teaser from an Asian dealer. Also, pretty confirmed by now that it is a CS chip motherboard.

I guess this suggests that the N6ii still has a lot of life left in it.

By being modular on BOTH DAC/Amp I do expect N6ii to live longer and prosper than any other DAPs. Before I made my decision on my N6ii, took me ages to examine all available options and I wasn't able to find any other that offers quality and longevity in one package better than this

And they are asking $200 more for it. I am not a believer of paying more for the sake of brand name
Even though I have SP2000, I would advise against getting it... Its 2016 products like Kann just lost Tidal support, and there is nothing AK can do about it because their system is SO outdated. Android 5 I believe?

I prefer something smaller and cheaper
I haven't breached the $2k mark for a DAP yet and don't intend to!
Have you tried N3 Pro? yep it is not balanced and no Android, but I liked the tube implementation SQ on that unit. Decently sized and very well built
