Its pretty different here in indonesia , most people whose in the hobby would actually just go to an actually audio hobby store that generally have most of the stuff, so whenever we went to a big chain store we never really cared for their audio sections

Well, last week I went to one of the big chain stores for electronics and aside from the usual ipods, clips and other general consumer oriented brands, they also had fiio x1, x3 and x5, which was quite surprising - yeah, the prices as usual were ridiculous even for Europe as X1, for instance, was 150 euro, which is like $200 but still the fact that they carry them at all shows that things are starting to change for the better. At the very least one can try them out before ordering them online at half the price

For a second as I started to read your reply I thought you were talking about B&H Store in NYC.  I'm pretty sure they don't have it either on display.  Didn't realize you are from EU :)

In US, nothing really going to change in terms of brick&mortar big name stores carrying such "niche" audio products on display.  General consumer, at least here in US, still thinks that quality audio players and headphones are available only in Apple stores and maybe Best Buy.  Someone like FiiO or Cayin has no chance of breaking that mold :frowning2:

Thankfully, they (Cayin and others) have access to a community such as Head-fi.  As long as you have presence and support on head-fi, I think it's a good starting point for marketing outside of their mainland!

Btw, pricing of N6 has been finalized, and probably not going to be a surprise to anybody.  As soon as I get a green flag to mention it, I will post it here, unless someone will beat me to it :)

Please, please tell us what is the pricing of N6 and what is ETA.

In Poland, typical big electronics stores have iPods, Sandisk, Sony players. If you want to buy something like ibasso, FiiO, AK, you have to go to audio hobby shops and in the capital city of Warsaw there are maybe 2, 3 shops which have such DAPs (I'm not talking here about headphones because there are few other shops specialised in home audio systems which have headphones but they don't have DAPs). Unfortunately there is no shop in Poland which like Jaben could offer demos of all main CIEMs brands (there are two shops which have demos of Polish two brands i.e. Custom Art and Lime Ears, but nothing else).

The finalized pricing of N6 going to be $599.

Can't wait to see their final packaging and all the accessory goodies!  Looks like Cayin is working hard to get everything ready for holiday season

N6 will be formally sale price in China is RMB3799, the price in other overseas countries is $ 599, of course, perhaps because of the different national tax rates vary.

When looking N6 official release, there are more friends to share their feelings, this will be our CAYIN valuable asset.

The Cayin N6 is worth the wait.

With your comment about N6 sounding better than X5+E12DIY, I can't wait to compare it to to my X5+E12A (w/MUSES) setup, as well as X5+C5.

Would be also interesting to read other people's impressions/comparison to DX90 and AK100/120 II

Indeed. The dual TI PCM1792A DACs are very well implemented in the N6.
Everything that we love in the X5 is taken a step up in technicality, refinement and musicality.
