Doesn't hiby app bypass the android for sound and avoids downgrading the audio quality? May be Qobuz uses the android for sound and hence sounds less better.

Am I correct in thinking that Qobuz will give me the best quality sound through my newly acquired but unused as yet ibasso DX320 Max ti....All advice greatly appreciated as I'm a novice re DAPs and iem's alike....I have the Odins ready to go (bought recently from your good self Jeremy)

Yes, IMO Qobuz for the win! I would use USB audio app or if you can download the Hiby app onto DX320 Max and use Qobuz through those apps. As I’ve found Qobuz to sound even better via the Hiby app.

It’s already on your player. You can use it with your downloaded files and/or stream with Tidal/Qobuz.

Looks like you may need to update your Hiby player as it’s missing an icon at the top which is a cloud surrounding a music note.
In settings you can select which music streaming service either Tidal or Qobuz

Whelp spoke to soon re: OS lockups. 3 solid lockups back to back requiring Power + Prev combo reboot.

• First was just swiping from Apple Music to Settings, locked up between swipe
• Next swipe Tidal to Home screen, locked up on home screen
• Another was swiping from Tidal to Apple Music

Also noticed that double tap to wake screen doesn't seem to work. I have to press the power button to wake.

Charging indicator pulse is still a erratic when device is off.

Factory reset cured double tap to wake.

Unfortunately it won't work with AK because it's a closed system, at least it didn't work with my SP2KT.

Thank you so much . Though I’m confused as hell lol ) . Is Cayin music app is Hiby player ? When I open Cayin player it doesn’t have that option to add streaming platform. if I go to google store and search for Hiby player it says that it installed already and gives me option to open it . So I can only open it through Google store .
