Now, let's move to our new earbuds, the FF5. From the previous EM3-EM5-FF3, to today's FF5, we never cease to explore open earbuds. Inspired by flower petals, the FF5 features a design that is both beautiful and functional. The FiiO development team aimed to reduce unwanted reflections and vibrations within the shell of the FF5, leading to the development of a diffuse open design featuring an acoustic damping device that allows some of the air pressure within the earphone to diffuse to the outside – resulting in less unwanted internal reflections and standing waves, resulting in purer sound and improved bass response.

The FF5 was designed as a pair of earbuds focusing on female vocals, and not so much on heavy bass. Thus, much care was taken around the representation of the female voice's frequency range and pitch.

Thanks to the light weight of carbon fiber, the FF5 has excellent treble performance, allowing the overtones of vocals, guitars, cymbals, violins, and other instruments to clearly come through in a more nuanced and layered sound.

To make it a complete female vocal killer, we even specially designed a 4-stranded 392 wires total silver-plated monocrystalline copper cable. This cable includes detachable MMCX connectors as well as swappable 3.5/4.4mm audio plugs, leading to truly transparent sound.

The larger the driver, the better the bass performance. However, it will also affect the wearing comfort. But for the FF5, we apply an astonishingly large 14.2mm dynamic driver, which can take good care of both bass performance and wearing comfort of a majority of users.

What's more, the FF5 is made of aluminum alloy, commonly used in other high-end earphones, to reduce weight while maintaining high durability. A single ear unit only weighs 3.4g. Also, the FF5 includes M and L sizes of anti-slip silicone rings, in a total of 6 pairs.

they are a bluish black unlike the rendered images, also my left side wire runs slightly longer then the right. can't word in detail the sound quality on these but they do sound good.

Hello.
FF5 has been burning in for about 30 hours and the trend has changed a bit, so I will describe it here.
The sharpness in the treble has been removed and it is becoming a silky female vocal. This may be an overstatement for FH9, but that's the silky sound I felt with it.

Lucky (and awesome)! Mine have yet to leave mainland (bound for Canada).
