I purchased an SLI-80 signature F1 last week. So far so good with the current tube complement. I am using a quad of reissued TS 6550s but I purchased a quad of used vintage TS 6550s. From what I have read that should be a nice change.

Has anyone played with the biasing? I read somewhere that biasing to 80 instead of 75 was preferable. I guess it is like any other change - good for some but not for others.

I would be very surprised if the Cary sounded better than the Leben with headphones. I am planning on using the Cary with Nola Boxer speakers mainly.

Then I think you might be surprised..... I have never heard the Leben, but the Cary is really great. I'd love to hear some comparisons

Well.. I decided to slowly upgrade my stereo system. I am currently using a Luxman M 300 power amp with a NAD 1600 preamp. My speakers are Kef 103.2
Lots of old stuff but I like them
When I first saw the SLI 80 I fell in love with it and decided I am going to have one...

As for my old friend Mr.Luxman.. it has a great sound with my old Kef 103.2, but I have never tried to use headphones with it.

You probably will As for speakers + headphones it is superb value. Reported to do great with the HE-6 from the speakers taps too

You must definitely get your hands on a decent pair of phones!  The Luxman amp looks gorgeous! I bet it will drive many of the harder to drive phones around.  
 
So - what' your budget? For a headphone, that is?
