Hi Danny, HeadAmp would definitely like to attend again and sponsor the event if possible!

We'll bring our new GS-X mini amp, of course the Blue Hawaii SE and Gilmore Lite mk2 as well, with sources from Mytek like the wireless Brooklyn Bridge and Chord Hugo TT2 + M Scaler (if our next shipment arrives before then).

If anyone wants to try a particular headphone please check here to see what we have: https://www.headamp.com/product-category/headphones/

Might even bring a HIFIMAN Shangri-la Sr electrostatic headphone in addition to the STAX SR-009S and MrSpeakers VOCE!

Justin, you just made my day. :smile_phones:

Bringing the Shangri-La and the 009S and the VOCE would be absolute frosting on the cake. It doesn’t get much better than that.

hopefully! the Shangri-la Sr. i have ordered is supposed to ship around mid-March

I've got a personal friend of mine representing Audio-Technica attending and I MAY be able to get a couple pieces of Schiit from the amazing people at Schiit again this year (sadly they've a lot of other projects going on and can't personally attend, this year).

Also, I'm pretty sure this is CanFest 7, not 8. Or are we doing the cellphone thing and skipping numbers XD.

I think the original CanFEST was before you were born so you missed one. :smile_phones:

Actually, you are likely correct. I never was very good at counting. I will make the appropriate changes.

Also, as a sidebar, our venue was originally part of the fire station for the Henry Ford production facility and later the missile production plant in WW2. The venue is a bit rustic but has modern technology and lots of "charm" along with great history.

Next door is a local coffee roaster and then an amazing custom motorcycle shop. The motorcycle shop will be having a big gathering next month with over 5000 people expected to be in attendance. Harley Davidson, who is sponsoring the event, has donated a motorcycle for them to customize which will be given away to a lucky winner. It will quite a gathering.

So I was able to speak with a wonderful lady from Schiit who's lending me, in addition to the ragnarok and yggdrasil (that's upgraded to the most current revision), a mjolnir and gungnir for the audio meet.

EDIT: Also, the gentleman from Audio-Technica that's coming with me is named Bill Poteet. I'm not sure what gear he's bringing but he did mention he's bringing their new titanium headphones.

@justin w. If I may kindly ask, if you're not too bogged down with the various INCREDIBLE products you're already bringing, could you also bring the Meze Empyrean? If not I 100% understand and am MORE than excited and happy about the offerings you're already bringing.

Below is a link for a little more information about the location of our CanFEST gathering should you be interested in checking it out.

https://www.charlottefive.com/camp-north-end-guide/

Where will we be, I'm not sure I could work it out from that guide.........

Thoughts (and times) on logistics for setup?
I assume that e can drive in and park close by?
Is there good wifi (that stands up to a bunch off us streaming?)
Do we need power strips etc (I can bring a bunch if needed)?

Is anyone thinking of being there Friday night?

Cheers

Graham

Not to worry. I am planning to have balloons, or something, to help guide attendees.

You will be able to drive right up to the door. After unloading, you can then park your car in the parking lot about 200 yards away.

The WIFI should be fine. The room is set up for meeting purposes with multiple people using it at one time. However, I will confirm the multiple streaming demand issue.

We will need power strips and extension cords, etc. The one disadvantage of the space is that I believe it only has a total of two sets of outlets, one on two different walls. Thus, we will need to work with this situation as our set up will involve four walls.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions and thank you, in advance, for your help especially with power strips, etc.

All looks cool!

Any thoughts on times yet?

Cheers

We have the room from 9 AM to 4 PM. So we can enter at nine and start to set up then. We can officially start at 10 or a little earlier if we like. I figured expecting people to start setting up at 8 AM might be a little ambitious on a Sunday morning. Does that sound reasonable? If not I can see if we can get in earlier.
