I've done a long research to come thinking that the bigger and more expensive headphones get the better headphones they are to ask these questions =)
So coming back after a long research, I am almost ready to get my first decent-audio listening set-up. All I need is figure this final questions.
80 Ohms vs 250 Ohms
1) How bad would it be if I play 250 Ohms directly from an iPhone 4 or a MacBook Pro? I'll get an amp too, but I do not plan to carry it with me a lot, I'll just keep for home. From what I heard it should be fine with a Mac, but will an iPhone be able to drive ok?
2) When people say it won't be enough power to drive them, does that mean it won't go as loud, or is it that it is going to loose quality? I mean if a 250 Ohms will play as loud as the stock iPhone earphones with out any quality loss, it won't even be a question. Anyone has any experience with this?
FiiO E11 vs Fiio E17 vs DigiZoid ZO2
3) Does a DAC improve a noticeable amount of quality when listening with a laptop? Because if it doesn't I would knock out E17 for being bulky and not looking as cool as E11.
4) Also I watched this review that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GY_K7WXYlF8&feature=plcp and the guy talks about the purity and what ever this amp brings to the music. I am wondering if it is a specific feature of this amp because of that extra technology inside he is talking about? Because if E11/E17 do the same thing, I would cross it out too.
5) Will I be able to notice difference when playing music with a MacBook Pro (2011) + E17 anyways? I am not sure if it will matter, but most of my music is 320kpbs mp3s. Although I am starting to build a lossless library.
Beyerdynamic DT 880 PRO vs Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO
6) I like DT880 PRO more for being a lower profile and better materials, but I am wondering if it is going to be a significant loss on bass and isolation if compared to DT 770 PRO. If it is something minor then I would get the DT 800 PRO. Any one has any experience with them?
I forgot to say that most of the time I do listen to the music with my phone. I usually don't listen to high volume when I am using headphones and it is mainly bass heavy music like hip-hop, trance, dub-step.
I'll greatly appreciate all inputs, because faster I figure this stuff out, faster I will be enjoying it.
