Isn't it only an hour by train from Brooklyn?
hour and a half door to door...yeah, I can't justify it, but it would have been cool to get a room...

Pro tip:

In addition to your favorite DAP, bring these cables so that you can demo amps and headphones with your own music:

4.4mm to dual 3pin XLR for Solid State amps

https://www.amazon.com/Balanced-Headphone-Adapter-Silver-Plated/dp/B07WTQ9M9B/

3.5mm to RCA for tube amps

https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-3-5mm-2-Male-Adapter-Stereo/dp/B01D5H8JW0/

USB-C to USB-B to use your DAP as transport to a DAC.

https://www.amazon.com/CableCreation-Printer-Compatible-MacBook-Printers/dp/B012V563B6/

Also, a USB-C to Coax like comes with Hiby DAPs is also great for connecting to a DAC.

Probably the biggest mistake I have seen is by vendors who rely on the hotel internet to provide streaming music for their demos. They find out that the wifi is not that great and their products sound terrible and potential customers cannot hear their own music with their products. I had to lend my cables to one vendor is Socal.

Also, bring a DAP that has 3.5mm PO, 4.4mm PO, 3.5mm LO and 4.4mm LO. This is why I bring Hiby and Cayin DAPs for demos.

Herein lies a problem with the events industry, of which I am a part of.

The internet cost at a hotel is outrageous. One time in Phoenix (years ago), we needed to upgrade from 20 Mbps up to 100 Mbps up. $75,000 cost from the convention center, and I think I'm low balling this.
