Hi I'm a Newbie here!

I was planning to get the HiFiMAN RE262 IEM's which are rated at 150 ohm with a sensitivity of 95 db.

My iPod amp is the JDS Labs c421

My friend was just telling that the c421 would not drive them because he believes that the amp doesn't have enough juice for them to sound their best.

Does anyone have any insight whether the c421 will drive them?

TIA

Well, the good folks at JDS just answered my question (and very quick considering it's Sunday night ...

Code:
kevorkazito, c421 has strong output voltage and easily drives 300 ohm headphones. Output current is reasonably strong for a portable amp as well. Many RE-262 users have paired their headphones with c421 Hope that helps! Best regards, JDS

I use my RE-262 with my c421 (OPA2227) and their pair very well! The amp's bass boost even works wonders on the somewhat bass light RE-262...

That's great to know.

The reason I'm choosing them is because I like more presence in the guitar tracks, which would as I suspect be in the mid-range frequencies.

Do you find the guitars in front, much like the vocals?

The C421 are very crisp, clean sounding AMPs and immidiate noticable upgrade over Fiio E17, E11. BTW Guitars sounds great on C421,and it can easily power RE262 with loud volume levels
