can bass boost and high volume destroy headphones (ath-m50)?

I recently bought a amp e7, and found the bassboost function on my pc. After enabling it, and having my amp volume at 60 I can experience a heavy bass that I've always wanted.  My fear is that I may destroy these headphones or break them or reduce their life expectancy.

is this an issue? Does anyone use the bassboost with these and not have problems after extended use? Thanks.

You're probably fine if they're not distorting. And I'm glad you're not actually listening to your E7 @ the full 60... I usually set mine between 2-4 if I'm in a quiet area and 5-10 if my surroundings are loud. Anything over 10 is just scary loud to me.
