Another question Is anyone using mojo 2 with solaris ? Is there any hiss? Any comments on the pairing? Thanks.

I tried it before, and yes mojo got lots of hissing. You can try Cowon PL and P2, Luxury & Precision L4, w2, even P6 pro, all of them can provide complete dark background when pairing with Solaris. Btw, I've already tried Sony wm1a, wm1z (and mk2), AK sp1000/sp2000/kann cube, lotoo paw gold touch (and ti version), chord hugo 2 and dave, Hiby RS6, Shanling m6, and all of them failed on hissing problem.

I've received the solaris gold. I've tried couple of tips like spinfit, double flange but it seems sony hybrid tips provide best comfort and seal for me. So far, I have no fit issue and I really liked what I am hearing so far

Surprised you get hiss from Sony DAP. They are made foe low impedance devices. No hiss whatsoever from Shanling m8

Mojo 1. but since Hugo 2 has hissing too, so I'm assuming mojo 2 might also be the same.

Hard truth, go check their specs. The SNR of wm1a/z(mk2 also) are crazy low, and they actually have the loudest hissing out of all the device I've tried.

Nvm, just realized you are using KC. Hmmm that's weird. But all AK dap's hissing are definitely less easy to notice for sure.

Actually, what just sprang to mind. I do get hissing, but only when the DAP is connected to the mains wall for charging, but that's a common thing with all devices as it's a wiring issue in the building. But nothing to worry about

M8. I love the Solaris and M8. Actually I love just about anything with M8. I personally use foam on Solaris wirh M8. You may not be as sensitive to treble as I am. The M8 xovers the frequency spectrum wonderfully

Solaris OG and M8 was def a good pairing. Cayin N6ii R01 was even better. Cleaned up some treble dirt and added some much needed volume, roundness, and slam to the bass.
If you're into rock type music, the Cayin and Solaris combo is amazing for the price of entry.
If you are more into electronic, hip hop and pop, the M8 will likely suit your needs better, I think.
