Solaris OG, I come back to it from time to time, still sounds lovely with no thrills , everything is in place + Gryphon is a great combo!

After trying all of the EA signature series I’m sticking to the Eros S8 as the most suitable of my listening/sound preferences.
For me, the Solaris OG, once very good, always very good!

Thanks. I have 3, OG, SE and 2020.

I prefer the SE with a DHC Complement C on my WM1AZ, the OG with a DHC Clone Silver on my WM1A and the 2020 on the WM1A when I used to commute on the train.

Which tips do you prefer?

ADV Eartune Fidelity Custom Tips. They used my OG to create the first tips for the Solaris. I was able to wear them for 8+ hours everyday in the hospital. Super comfortable with great isolation. Made it easier to sleep at night with them on and playing my favorite tunes.

For non-custom tips I did use the Azla SednaEarfit Xelastic. What I didn't like with them is that they collected dirt and would have to be washed after every use and after 6-7 washes they had to be replaced. It got too expensive, so I'm sticking with the Eartune Fidelity Custom Tips. I've been using the same tips for 4 years now. I just clean them with hot water maybe once a week.

Picked up a used Solaris 2020 as it was going for a good price, am really surprised how well it holds up against other IEMs in my stable. It's a great all-rounder and my new go-to beater for travel
