I have kept trying Spiral Dots but they constantly have issue with having both sides sounding balanced. Have no issue getting a good seal with them. The medium size foam tips have worked the best for me so far. I don't have issue with the Sprial Dots on other IEM i have used.

I am tempted to just poke a small hole in the Spiral Dots to relieve the pressure.
Try opening your jaw when inserting them or go for a small size in the Spiral Dots

I tried to vent the spiral dots and you were right it's really a game changer it really helps.. I would have hated to send them to campfire audio because I use them all the time. thankyou so much!!
I'm so glad it worked for you! It really opened up my options for tips, cuz I was getting really bothered that the flimsy black silicones were the only ones that worked for me. Now, I use the RHA Dual Density, but will switch to the stock blacks if I want to sleep with them in. The stock blacks put a lot less pressure inside the ear and are more comfortable to wear while laying on my side. I do enjoy the sound from the Symbios, but those are just kinda a bit firm for anything more than a couple hours of listening, and I listen pretty much non stop.

I am tempted to just poke a small hole in the Spiral Dots to relieve the pressure.
No. Don't do that. It won't get you the results you're looking for. I've posted my particular approach, which is pretty easy, and does not involve modifying the tips themselves.

I've come the the realization that I like the Andromeda better than the Vega...it just happened. The Vegas are amazing, but those Andromedas, wow. Sometimes the Vegas seem like they are a bit too bright in the highs and a bit too lacking in mids.

Have been following this thread for the Vega since 2016... finally jumped on a great deal here at head-fi two weeks ago. Really enjoying them... feel they are exactly how I hoped they sound after reading 100s of review and impressions here:smile_phones: Now my ASG 2.5s have to stay back as my backup basshead IEMs...

That's a slick cable. I'm really hoping that that is the AudioMinor hybrid

Love it! I have a Triton8 pure silver cable with ediolic connectors :) David makes great cables

I think he only made a few pure silver...how does the hybrid sound? I was worried about it not being as clear

@toucan79 yeah he was really patient with me, I asked a lot of questions. Let us know how you like it

It was indeed the Triton8 hybrid cable in my picutres. The Eidolic connectors' metallic color matches perfectly with the Vega shells!

To me the Triton8 hybrid sounds apparently smoother than the stock cable with Vega. I wish the Triton8 could be a bit more pliable, but it's a beautiful and well build cable nonetheless.
