I tried to vent the spiral dots and you were right it's really a game changer it really helps.. I would have hated to send them to campfire audio because I use them all the time. thankyou so much!!
I am tempted to just poke a small hole in the Spiral Dots to relieve the pressure.I think what he means is to give the earpiece or your own ear a little tug to break the seal, so the driver won't flex. A perfect seal is the root cause of driver flex in DD's.
Try opening your jaw when inserting them or go for a small size in the Spiral DotsI am tempted to just poke a small hole in the Spiral Dots to relieve the pressure.
I'm so glad it worked for you! It really opened up my options for tips, cuz I was getting really bothered that the flimsy black silicones were the only ones that worked for me. Now, I use the RHA Dual Density, but will switch to the stock blacks if I want to sleep with them in. The stock blacks put a lot less pressure inside the ear and are more comfortable to wear while laying on my side. I do enjoy the sound from the Symbios, but those are just kinda a bit firm for anything more than a couple hours of listening, and I listen pretty much non stop.I tried to vent the spiral dots and you were right it's really a game changer it really helps.. No. Don't do that. It won't get you the results you're looking for. I've posted my particular approach, which is pretty easy, and does not involve modifying the tips themselves.I am tempted to just poke a small hole in the Spiral Dots to relieve the pressure.
