I wish they'd sealed it tighter, seems they clued it.
Yeah, was disappointing to have that happen but at least they took care of it. Seems to be a problem with the adhesive. Must've been some way to create an interlocking method where they "click" together on top of the adhesive... or some micro screws or something. Anything else.

Sigh*,

So less than 24hours with my Vega this happend.
I was trying to insert the foam tips. Is this covered under warranty?

Well, isn't this interesting. I just emailed them this past weekend, because the black nozzle came loose. It has had no impact on SQ, but is happening on both sides. Got a speedy reply and sending them back for warranty.

I'm sorry this happened to you right out of the box. I know how much you're looking forward to getting to experience the sound, and now it's delayed. :frowning2:

How unfortunate,

After getting them fixed I might wrap some adhesives around it,
Just to be safe.

Another vote for the Triton8 with the Vega :)

-Collin-

I couldn't recommend the Triton8 cable with the Vega enough made by our very own @alpha421.

The comfort is second to none thanks to not having any memory wire or large barrel y-splitters that interrupt the simplicity of the cable. It is easily my favorite pairing with the Vega and the price was very reasonable even with the Eidolic upgrades. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality of craftsmanship, value, and level of communication.

It might be a fake Vega. I'm sure Campfire probably doesn't use such cheapo glue to hold ear tip housing. I figured they would've used brazing instead of that cheapo glue.

It's happened to me twice, the two members who posted about it today, and at least two others I've previously read about. Unless I bought a fake pair from Ken himself at CanJam, then it's a unfortunate issue that I hope they fix, as otherwise the Vega is outstanding in other regards.

I am sure its the real deal. Note, from the pictures above theres another layer beneath the exposed housing.

This is what I like about CA. Intuitively, I have no concerns or worries over this issue. I'm so pleased with them, their products, and their service.
But after a year will they fix that issue for free?? That worries me. I have LyraII and worry about that now. A lot now!

Haven't heard about it happening to the Lyra or Dorado, though their shell materials are the same.

Maybe the Vega's insane bass blows the two halves apart
