How do you effectively protect the outer housing to prevent chipping and wear? Assuming you are carrying them outside in a case or something.

I'm not so sure you can. Case or not, storing IEMs tends to put the shells together in close proximity and the material wear between the shells is what is results. However you do it, the shells will clink together so I think the chipping and wear is just destined to happen.

I carry my IEM's separate from my cables. I stick my Andro's in the furthest corners away from each other in the case. They don't come in contact with each other at all. I guess if I wanted to further decrease the likelihood of them knocking together...I could simply place a rolled up tissue between them.

I commend you for your dedication to it. I don't put anywhere near as much effort into putting away my IEMs.

Thanks. I assume removing the housing from the wire will also slow down the wear of those mmcx connectors. I wish I had a pair of protectors for each housing.

Why don't you get this case? I use this case and it protects my Andro perfectly from scratch or dent.

That might also work. I prefer pelikan case for protection against moisture :)

But it looks less sexy than the stock case
