Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

The only way to keep the sound intact is to use low output impedance (~<1 Ohm) sources. A lot of sources will specify a headphone impedance range that starts with 16 Ohms, but the Andromeda goes down to 4 Ohms in the bass region.

I prefer the more “studio monitor type sound” at 2 ohms than the warmer <1 ohm sources since I use my Yamaha HS7 speakers as my reference. At 3 ohms or higher, it sounds too analytical and edgy and bass becomes hollow

JVC Spiral Dots on the Andromeda for me.

Perfection

I alternate between the symbio wide and spiral dots. Both are excellent with the Andro.

Just got some Spiral Dots in - initial impressions with the Andromeda are very positive. Bass is considerably more present and textured than the Spinfits without sounding muffled like the Comply. Haven't had the time to A/B them against the Symbio tips, but from memory the Spiral Dots sound close and are more comfortable for me. On first listen, a good alternative to the Symbio tips - thanks for the recommendation!

Do you wear the same size in Spiral Dots as with SpinFits?

Outer diameter (at the base) of the Spiral Dots M is very close to that of the Spinfits M but the Spiral Dots are a lot shallower, so I think I actually want to go a size up. Only have the medium dots (only size reasonably priced on Amazon :/) on hand but should have other sizes in the next couple of weeks. Can report back then.

Edit: should’ve mentioned this - I use medium spinfits on the left side and small on the right (wonky ears haha). I get a good seal in both ears with the medium spiral dots.

I have been using the medium Symbio tips with the foam removed. The mediums with foam wouldn't fit into my ears at all even if compressed while I wouldn't get a good seal with the small ones. It sounds good but not as comfortable as Spinfits however it isolates better.

I use the foam removed from the symbio tips and put those in the spiral dots. They feel comfy and sound good to me.

Does anyone have an suggestions for a complimentary IEM with the Andromeda?
I'm looking to spend $1000 or less.

Thanks!
