Guess I got lucky in choosing an unamped iPod Touch 6th gen as my choice for DAP. Didn't choose it for any audiophile properties, just chose because it's a good all-around smart device with a nice UI.

Haha, you own two extremely sensitive iems! Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!

In general daps with 2 ohms or less will play well with most everything. But at the end of the day, as long as you like the sound, that's all that matters.

This in the simplest of terms explains the immediate difference herd when switching between the two cables I have on hand at the moment. I'm absolutely enthralled with the airiness of the high mid's that I hear with the stock ALO cable. The bass is there, but it doesn't smack you upside the head. Switching to pure silver litz makes everything thicker. It loses the airiness, but the bass has more presence overall. I found this interesting because it's the opposite of what most believe as an over generalized characteristic of silver cables robbing them of bass. It's also not what I remember from using a pure silver litz cable with my 846's.
Back to the simplistic explanation without getting in the cable material discussion, silver has a lower resistance than copper. I don't have my Therium cable at the moment, so I can't comment on it directly.

Finally tried the dragon fly red.. ooh very good. This is one of those ah-ha moments. This little cute dragon fly makes the Andro sound pretty romantic. Slightly warmer with deep controlled bass (now I will say its on the level of K10 CIEM) and treble still sparkle .. as compared to Iphone 6 direct out.  
 

 
Edit: For some reason, I find the sound stage even larger with the dragonfly red.. It very 3D, sound are wide and tall.. considering the Andro already has a very wide soundstage.. It makes the music sound 6D !!!

. Never thought an universal IEM can reach this level.. My bloody goodness.. and all coming out from Iphone.

Tried the following set-up: Mojo > 75ohm impedance adapter > Andromeda
 
Compared to iPhone 6 HO,

1. DETAILS. So much more details. 
2. Quite a bit brighter
3. Notes become thinner, and less euphoric - the Andromedas become much less forgiving with this set up
4. The magical butter smooth mids become more clinically presented (dare I say grainier, but more detailed?)
5. The PRaT improves so much with this adapter. Notes become so much faster.
6. With faster and thinner mids, complicated passages with a heavy vocal focus become much less congested
7. Soundstage remains relatively similar, but imaging becomes more precise 
8. Bass does reduce in impact quite a bit
9. NO HISS. HURRAH.

 
I suspect this would be relatively more fatiguing in the long run compared to the iPhone HO, but for those who crave details, this set up is hard to beat.

The whole impedance thing is still confusing to me. I quite like the sound with the stock ALO cable and the more I listen the more I enjoy the bass presentation. I know that everything will change once I get the new cable(s) from Norne. Like somebody said to me earlier in the thread...Lucky me to have "2 extremely sensitive IEM's"...lol
