UPDATE:

So Alex has contacted me and I'll be getting a refund shortly.  Hopefully he'll sort out his situation since people seem to really like his cables...

Still waiting to hear from Alex.  His last reply was Mar 31.  I sent few more mails to follow up, but no more reply :frowning2:

has anyone heard from Alex recently ?

I have been trying to get some response from ApureSound (Via email and order form on their web site)  since April.

I'm in the very frustrating position of having sent my ER4 cable back for repair (my fault not the cables  ) and cannot get any response whatsoever.  I sent the cables registered so in principle I know it got there but I cannot get even confirmation that they have it let alone when I might get it back.

This is so untypical of Apuresound which makes it all the more disapointing - I'm really at a loss at this point as to what to do

Haven't heard from them in about 2 months now...I thought they were just in the process of moving at first, but now I'm starting to get a little worried. I sent my cable back too for re-termination.

After receiving a few concerned PMs I've contacted Alex and, while I don't want to speak for him (as he said he'll post something), I'll just say his house suffered some storm damage and is busy recovering from that. If anyone has sent him email about any work that is long overdue and hasn't received a reply after waiting, say, a week, please PM me with your email address and I'll forward that to him.

Dear All,

I'm one of the people in APS V3 groupbuy from Thailand.  I've paid an extra USD 91.- through paypal for the extra adaptor to HE-6 headphone. and I just tried to raised a dispute through paypal eventhough it's over 45 days and I may not get anything back.  But this company - APURESOUND should really be banned from this community.

some of the evidence and message to paypal:

complete pdf format of this mail can be downloaded from rapidshare here : https://rapidshare.com/files/154194620/Heli_Mail_Dec_30.pdf

Message to Apuresound :

If you do not respond I have to raise to PayPal.

This is part of the groupbuy order of APS V3 headphone cable from Thailand. No one in this groupbuy have received any thing. Original groupbuy is in this forum : http://www.taf.in.th/showthread.php?t=49789 . It is in thai but google can translate.  There is a complaint raised in Head-Fi forum here http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/528118/calling-out-to-apuresound-loudly/30#post_7543138 and here http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/546938/apuresound-complaint-thread/15.

My USD 91.- is the part of extra oder which order after the groupbuy and can be seen in this email

Full correspondent is availalbe upon request.  The pdf version of this mail can be downloaded here. https://rapidshare.com/files/154194620/Heli_Mail_Dec_30.pdf

This is over 45 days but all of us in Thailand did not received any goods from Apuresound.  Your company is not honest and should be banned.

Best regards,
Thiradej Payackarporn

All of us in Thailand don't think we will get anything back neither the goods nor our money back but this company should really be banned fro the community.

jackcarver: I just got an email from Alex about orders shipping. I've asked for an update on your order. I do think you'll be receiving your cables, albeit excessively late.

Dear Currawong, Alex
That's the very good news indeed.
All 30 + people of Thai group buyers will be very happy
Dear Alex, Do you have any direct access besides head-fi that we can communicate?

kiertijai: From experience, while I could give people Alex's new, alternative email address and people could contact him directly, the only result would be a new bombardment of emails to reply to, further causing delays, or else he'd have to ignore them, further causing people to be pissed off.

Again, right now, I don't have any reason to believe Alex is doing anything other than his best to catch up on outstanding orders. So far, for those interested, only two people (one being kiertijai, so you can count that as more than one person if you include everyone in Thailand who was in the group buy) have PMed me about outstanding work.

I have emailed Alex several times about a short in the recable he did for me(one side failed).  I need to have it repaired and asked the cost and timetable, it's been weeks/(month??) and I haven't heard anything.  In the mean time my headphones are worthless.....at least a quote after weeks........cheeeesh!  It is a payed for apuresound recable, you would think he could at least charge for it to be repaired if not just repair it, or at least respond.

Dear Currawong,   You have already got more responses from Thai group buy but you may not  know them, to name a few : Smart, Jackcarver,
Kiertijai, Coolcat, Bordins They have posted here and in another blogs http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/546938/apuresound-complaint-thread/15#post_7562197
To me this is a lot already,  I am sure that if you go to taf.in.th right now there 's lot much more responses.  But language barrier is a problem for them to write to you or to head-fi.
We are also no nonsense but understandable and forgiving people.   You can see that we let Smart handle all the email's from the beginning for long eight and nine months.
We did not bombard Alex  or do you have any evidence about that or is it just pure speculation?.   I  understand about being the moderator
you should do something.  But I truly believe that in the present situation,  let Alex speaks for himself . Both parties can understand him more and
could believe more in his promises.   Your reaction here is quite strange and contrary to what I expected.   This will cause more trouble to Alex and to us
than to solve or pacify the situation, I think it's the word "pissed off" that you just used

kiertijai: Your attitude and, as far as I can see, the attitude of the guys in Thailand seems very sensible.  Regarding email, I was more referring to the habits of some people (nobody specific) whom, when frustrated, send many emails. It is similar to people in elevators that hammer the door closing button or pedestrians waiting at a crossing hammering the walk button, neither of which cause anything to happen any faster.

dallan: If you haven't received a reply, feel free to PM me your email address and I'll forward it so Alex can check if he received your emails.  He said he didn't receive my initial emails either, possibly due to issues with his email server changeover.

If anyone is wondering why I am doing this, it is because, simply, I want to see, as does everyone, this sorted out and everyone get what they ordered, or, if there is something dodgy going on (which, as I've already said, so far I don't think there is), ensure nobody else loses money. If it blows up into a big mess on the forums, fanned by random contributors who have no person interest, it doesn't solve anything. At the very least, it appears Alex has been terrible when it comes to communication.

Hi,

I would just like to thank Currawong for all his efforts through this.   Heli from Apuresound contacted me yesterday to tell me my repaired cable had shipped ( and that she had been answering emails all day )

Clearly they have had / have  some real problems and are trying  to address (as I'd said in my post it was so not typical of the usual excellent customer service and communications from Apuresound).

The lack of communication has really been the problem that has been driving all the frustration but ultimately this  hicup  won't stop me buying Alex's excellent cables in the future

Hi themars23, if you really got yours you should be happy about it. But I and my friends still waitingggggg......  For all of us, if we finally do receive our cables, may be none of of will buy from him again if he still not coming to tell truth what is really "THE PROBLEM".

I recently received my ER-4P IEMs re-cabled by APS.  I shipped/paid on March 4 and received the ER-4Ps on June 14 - my birthday!

Alex did indicate that there was storm damage to his manufacturing facility and he was trying to figure that out while fulfilling orders.  He did right by me by overnighting my ER-4Ps to arrive on June 14 - I left early on June 15 for family vacation and wanted to use the ER-4Ps on the airplane.

IMHO, Alex is above board and a straight shooter - he is just in a difficult situation currently.

BTW, the wait was worth it - the ER-4Ps have never sounded better!

Brent
