I love the colors on those. Ill have to do something similar with my next CIEMs.
And I haven't even gotten my first pair in the mail yet!

Really wish I could say that. My C4's will probably be my first and last CIEMs I will ever get.
There's no risk that you'll lose anything except the shell. I prefer my remolded shells appearance to the original JHA made shell.
The sound signature won't change in an audible way. The sound would be about 98-99% of what the original was in most cases from what I've been told, and I doubt that anyone would be able to pick out any real differences unless the reshell went really poorly.

Not really, there are so many factors that influence the SQ.
Tube length, tube I/D, Tube OD, thickness of tubeing, density of the materials, the glues used to adhere the tubering (gas released while drying) If the glue releases a lot of gas then it can clog the dampers
Changeing to fresh dampers also changes the SQ, albeit back to the original sound, but it is still a change from the state that they were when originally bench tested at the re-shell lab.
The bottom line, change does occur, and that is just physics at play. Is this a bad thing? I don't think so, but I have to give full disclosure as if the change is audible, then what is a manufacturer to do..... claim the customer is wrong and what changes that did occur are not audible..... and how do I prove that statement as well? Reshell work has a potential to become a customer relations nightmare, so I felt it was best to give full disclosure. We also found that in a years time, we built about 2-4 reshells so we decided to stop offering reshell service as well.

lol that's rad. don't know if I'd want that in my ears all of the time though.
It probably depends on the company you choose. It'd be best to e-mail them the photo and ask.
