Hi,
As the title suggests. I received my C&C Box+ amp today and very impressed with it. Good sound, good construction and good price. The only thing is the quality of the Allen Cap bolts that hold it together. They do the job, but are a little uneven, and spoil it's otherwise flawless exterior. I'm trying to track down some replacements but this is not possible without the specs. I have contacted HeadB but wondered if anyone else knew the part, and where to get them. I do not have a vernier at home, and with something this small it is hard to measure accurately without one.

Any advice welcome.

thanks

Can't tell where you are located, but if you are in the U.S. then check out your local hardware. We have a local ACE Hardware here in Wisconsin that stocks bins of metric Allen head cap screws in stainless steel. I have replaced many of the cheap stock screws in my equipment with these. They look nice and will not strip or rust.

They must be a common size because the right size is in my RadioShack screw driver set. It says #4 0.05 next to the driver , when i look at the case its in. I dont know if thats milimeters or what. When i first got my Box+ i had to re-align the front plate so the volume control didnt rub.

Nice amp....i love mine for the price and practicality and ease of use/battery life.

cheers guys very reassuring. I'm in the UK, we do have big hardware stores, but little headcap screw like this can be seen as specialist and hard to come by. I will continue to search.

Dragon, I have an allen set at home so will check a little later what the head size is and go from there. not sure what 0.05 relates to. Mine are either mm or in " fractions 1/16" etc. could it be 1/20" who knows.

If I find a good source of these screws I will let you know. Gold on Black or Sliver on black might look quite good!

cheers for the replys.
