I have somewhat mixed feelings in this regard. Neither of the two I would call neutral. The LDM+ could be more natural, the Go-Vibe more detailed. Neither of them was my thing, at least for the HD650. Sorry.

Have you moved to England already? I ask because if you are interested I may loan you my GV5. Currently it is on its way to Romanee in New York City. I should have it back by the end of November or early December.

Many thanks Miguel! I go there in weeks time. There was a problem in (Typo) in my work permit. I am a junior physician aNd go there for post-graduate training to become a consultant. Medical man having madness in electronic & music is pretty rare to find! Isn't it so?
I checked for HEED can amp in UK! Its retail price is 250 Pounds!!!!! = 500 US$! Overpriced?
Looking forward to get your GV5!

I will keep you posted, but it looks like it will ship to GB in early/mid December which depending on customs and the 2 weeks with PinkFloyd (whom I have not asked if he would be interested) you could get it as late December or late January (things have stayed as long as a month in customs before). Which means it could be back in my hands as early as mid/late January or late February, again all dependin on Customs.

Yes the Xenos can very well be used at home with a 12V linear regulated power supply. Or just get the one that Xenos itself offers for it (if compatible to your country's wall power).

With all my headphones, including the efficient HD485, the 0HA-REP has been dead quiet - but I guess I'm not entitled to argue that that'd be the case with your IEM's, as I've never - ever - owned a true IEM (and probably never will, but that's personal).

Does the power supply come with the xenos? About about batteries? Is it true that different batteries will have an effect on SQ?

The 0HA is sold both with and without the NiMh battery and the PSU. You can choose among three different options: amp, amp + battery, amp + battery + psu. Just see www.aptecpro.com

Yep different batteries have an effect on SQ due to their different internal impedance mostly. The battery optionally sold with the Xenos is very good, and having a quite high 280 mA current.

Well, I've contacted the local store and apparently they don't carry either the batteries or the PSU. So... any recommendations? What should I look out for in a good battery? Brands?

Sorry, I'm not exactly an expert in rechargeable batteries. I guess you just have to search for a high mA rating and a 9V nominal voltage (there exist also 9,6V or so batteries that will be fine too).

For the PSU, you need one that is linear regulated (not switching), with a 12V output at 300mA or more (the more mA, the better, but going over 1000mA is useless).

For battery, you should check if there's any report on commenting the typical current drain. I heard somebody commented the brand "E" has a higher current drain than the brand "D" on their alkaline batteries. I haven't heard/seen anything about NiMH batteries' performance.

For PSU, the socket used in the RHP is a very common one. You may go to an electronic store and look for a PSU to serve it. Pls remember to check the polar of the plug!!

Just my 2cent and hope it helps.

The LDM+ comes with an integrated Li-Ion battery and with a 90V-240V charger. Not to mention a starter cable in the box that's not bad.

(Just to add more fuel to the fire.)

From the money saved by not getting a LDM+ then later upgrading to a Xenos, I can get a decent cable, PSU and maybe even a couple of batteries...

I'd say only if you're sure that the amps are in perfect state, and the Xenos is precisely the 0HA-REP (not a former version)...
