Hello Head-fiers. I've been reading through so many of your great comments. This is a great community.

Anyway - I bought my first head-fi rig. I have a number of headphones.

After reading and contemplating, I ordered a Go-Vbe V5 in low impedence mode. Reasons? Pricepoint was good, reviews were encouraging, and I wanted to take a toe-step in to test the waters.

I will be using this with a 1st and 2nd generation iPod shuffle and a 4th gen 40G ipod.

I also ordered a pair of SR225s from Todd the Vinyl Junkie.

Other Headphones that I already have: AKG K240s, Bang and Olufsen A8s, Bang and Olufsen Form 2, Sennheiser HD1430 (amazing for the price).

My computer rig: Dual 1.8Ghz powermac with Tascam US-122 DAC. 2xUAD-1 cards, Tannoy NFMs.

Stereo rigs : Bang and Olufsen Overature with Penta III speakers.
Kef C40s in the basement.

I've also gotten myself on the list for a Ray Samuels tomahawk when they are ready!

I also see that the SuperMicro IVs are highly thought of.

and

the mSeeds Faith amp looks interesting.

Anyway - wonderful forum!

Wow... Looks like you don't need much help from headfi to bleed your wallet already.

Bumping an old thread...
Looks like I won't be getting the Xenos after all.
Found a 3 months old, barely used Go-vibe selling for slightly more than the list price but bundled with an Ultimate Link IC, powerex battery and charger. Seems like a good deal and I took it. Now I just have to get a PSU for home use. Can't wait to try out my first amp! Thanks for all the advice guys!
