Has anyone experience in using the V7 op amps on a conductor 3P mixed with V6 in a 2+2 pair configuration?

Would a R2R DAC running a 5V power supply work with these? I get the feeling they might need more juice.

should work, you may have 5V PSU, but there might dc-dc converters for higher voltage inside the unit

I bought two Burson audio v7 dual op amps at different times. They are slightly different in metal color, one is a bit lighter gold and the other is dark gold. The most interesting thing is that one has a sticker with the letter "S" on side of it and the other one has a completely white sticker
Both purchased from Audiophonics.

Do you have any update?Must see after some serious burn-in
Still don't like them
For now I use only one V7 Classic in buffer and I put back the V6 Vivids in I/V - it has a bit better bass, but there is still too much treble.
Now, I'm not sure about compatibility with the Play, even if the guys at Burson said it's better with V7.
With them mounted it takes a bit too long until the Play start - after pressing the power button it takes about a minute until the display get lit. With the V6 it takes about 1-2 seconds...

I got a Burson Conductor 3X Reference a year ago and have been enjoying it with my Hifiman HE1000 V2 Stealth and Sennheiser HD6xx headphones. I recently upgraded to the Burson Supercharger power supply and am happy with the improvement to sound quality.
I’m still using the stock opamps and so am wondering if upgrading to these new V7’s will be as significant of an improvement to sound as the Supercharger? If so, what combo of vivids and/or classics do you find work best in the Conductor 3X Reference?

Just received a generous 3 pairs of vivid v7 pro’s from Burson.
Will post a thorough review soon with the Soloist 3XR GT 2021, now containing Vivid v6. Right now letting the v7’s burn in for 48 hours. will see if I can borough a pair of v7 classics as well, to mix them up.
Very curious what the benefit will be on the older model, The 2022 model might not be the latest, but still a beast of a amp
. Would love the 2023 model, but you can't have it all
Will post a list of nice tracks as well

Well, it seems the V7 are indeed not compatible with the Play. That's why they sound weird.
Got a mail from Alex from Burson and it seems the old Play cannot provide enough current for the V7.
So if you have a Play, better stuck with V6.

That’s really a shame, hopefully they can fix it with future revisions? V7 sounds so good, it would be a shame if you won’t be able to use them.Well, it seems the V7 are indeed not compatible with the Play. That's why they sound weird.

Is the Play that cannot supply enough current, not V7 fault. That’s really a shame, hopefully they can fix it with future revisions? V7 sounds so good, it would be a shame if you won’t be able to use them.
Unfortunately they didn't realized that until I wrote them and told about the issue.
They offered a refund but I bought them from local dealer, not directly from them.
I will keep them, probably I will buy later some other Burson product and use them with it.
