I finally bought Benchmark DAC1 USB as my external usb sound card. However, removing the cover, I noticed two big capacitors are a little bumped on their caps. Is it the normal? Or should I RMA it? Really thanks.

That's not normal. Sounds like the capacitor plague where a bunch of bad ones were made from 1999-2007 or so. If you bought this new, bulging caps are unacceptable. I'd send it back.

This has been posted before.  Logic says it's NOT a good thing, but some of the caps in the DAC1 do seem to bulge (Panasonic FK if I remember correctly).

I contacted the retailer and got the reply that this is normal for Benchmark DAC1 USB. He even opened the other one and showed me that my machine is not the only. Well… let’s say this is the “fine-tuned” capacitor.
