I just got my first DAC in the mail today, a FiiO E10. Plugged it in and I could almost immediately tell the difference in sound quality compared to the integrated audio on my motherboard.

But after listening to it for a few minutes, I started to notice "popping" in the middle of the audio. At first I thought it was just my mind, but it's been getting a lot more frequent and noticable. Is this a common problem with this particular product, or do you think I just got a dud? Is it worth returning for a replacement, or just returning it and getting a different DAC altogether (any recommendations?). Anything I can try before sending it back?

My motherboard has both coax and fiber SPDIF output, if you want to recommend anything that takes that input. It's from the onboard sound though, would that seriously affect anything?

Ok, so I just tried it with my laptop, and I don't get the popping issue. Thank god, I was starting to get annoyed. So I only get the popping on my desktop. Any ideas why?
