I specifically asked if it was certified Roon Ready and Apos said it was. Very disappointing and sketchy.

Agreed, and thanks for clearing that up. What a bummer that Apos is not responding but still giving thumbs up to post #13 after the questions were asked.Hi,
I haven't heard back yet from either Smsl or Apos.
The N100 is enabled through Volumio. The N100 manual has a section addressing Volumio. The N100 shows up in Volumio and you configure the settings within Volumio. I'm using Volumio Rivo and received a premium subscription to Volumio. When I launched the Volumio app, the N100 showed up in the device list. However,
I'm not sure if you get a Volumio Premium subscription when you buy the N100, or if you will need to buy a Volumio license.
You can log in to Tidal and Qobuz within the Volumio app, and then access Tidal and Qobuz in Volumio. I also logged into Tidal directly, and the N100 was recognized as a device in Tidal and I could play music through Tidal directly. However, I think that's because the N100 was configured through Volumio. I don't know if Tidal would see the N100 as a device without Volumio.
The N100 is NOT Roon Ready certified at this point. I'm disappointed that I was told by Apos and Smsl that the N100 was Roon Ready. I bought it primarily for that feature so I was surprised when I opened Roon and saw the message that it's not certified. Based on that alone, I'll be returning the N100 in the next few days unless Smsl can provide a fix (which I doubt).
Apos and Smsl need to be much more careful in how they market these products and the information they provide to their potential customers if they want to keep the trust of their customers.
Thanks,
James

I heard back from someone at Apos via email. Smsl suggested to enable certain settings in Volumio by going to "Sources" and enabling "DNLA Browser". However, I already had those settings previously enabled, and Smsl's suggestions didn't help.
I'm also attaching 2 screenshot showing the messages I see in Roon when I go to Settings, Audio to enable the devices.
Best,
James

I have this streamer. Issues I encountered are as follows:
- Came by default in Chinese language. Had a struggle to switch to English as I do not master Chinese...
- Once I had it in English, the Volumio version that comes with it is called Manifest. The nicer versions are called classical and something else. Only the Manifest version is registered. The other 2 are not and you would have to pay for them if you want to register them to get the full feature set.
- Left/right channels are randomly swapped to right/left using SPDIF out. When I contacted support they told me to restart the unit and then it will be fine...
- It comes with native Tidal and Qobuz streaming directly from the unit.
- It can be setup as what I assume is WASAPI mode with exclusive access, or WASAPI without exclusive access to the DAC.
- Volume control is only available in non-exclusive mode. volume control on the Windows Qobuz and Tidal apps is available even in exclusive mode...
- Cannot select any other output besides SPDIF. I do not see a USB out options, and even in the official manual it's not clear which output would be USB as there are 3 USB outputs and as far as I can tell they are all to attach USB storage, not to send audio out over.
Unit is going back, this is not worth the hassle nor the money. Was expecting much better than that...
