  is there s cheap 2.5mm trrs converter to 3.5mm on ebay, i want to make sure i am not ordering the wrong converter, as i ordered a balanced cable from ted for my shure 846 to be used in balanced with my ak100ii but sometimes i like to use my shure with my iphone so now i need to order a converter

Not for the price unfortunately. There are forwarders but they charge something like 20% extra with high shipping rates.

I searched around the web, and I didn't see an adapter for a balanced 2.5mm that doesn't come at a higher price.

Has anyone compared either of these to any of the rsa products? I have K10's and I'll be running them balanced. Mostly on the go. I appreciate any input.

Please get sure it will change the 2.5 TRRS L-L+R+R- to L+R+R-L-, on the 2,5mm Ak the mases are on tip and base, on the standart 3,5mm the masses are both on base.

can anyone confirm that the EQ drawing function is gone?

what I mean is that you can literally draw EQ curves. this seems to be disabled now. at least on my AK100 II

I've never actually played with the EQ function before, but yeah, I can confirm that I am unable to draw a curve in the EQ utility. I can only adjust individual frequency sections.

I also never use the EQ, but I'm currently working on a review for the AK100 II and this also got mentioned.

I'll have a guess and say: probably not.
 
The pinout would most likely be wrong for the AK player.

It doesn't work. Even if its a standard balanced pin config, TRS female jack will not short the RS in TRRS, for common connection. Custom cable makers are your best bet. $50-$60 is very reasonable. Even if you go the DIY route, the jacks alone will set you back $35. Add the cost of a quality cable, you will end up close to $45.

I just ordered one of these (AK100ii) to replace my iPhone in my portable setup. I'm not a big fan of IEMs so I primarily use my HiFiMan HE-560 and OPPO PM-3 headphones. I'm pretty sure the PM-3 will be fine but I'm worried the AK100ii amp won't be powerful enough to drive the HE-560 properly. I haven't found much in the way of a consensus in this thread (or the HiFiMan threads) however so I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the AK and harder to drive planar headphones. Thoughts?

I'm currently driving them with a Gustard H10 at my desk. What do you think about something like the FIIO E12 DIY portable amp paired with the AK100ii for roaming around the house w/ my HE-560?
