Hi,
 
Does anyone know if there are alternative cases for the AK120 II?
Maybe it's just me, but I really don't like the "crocodile" effect on the leather case.
 
I saw several links to other cases on this thread, but they are all japanese websites.
 
Maybe something very simple like a TPU case?

I was worried about the same thing until I got my AK120 II but I've found the case to look quite a lot better IRL. But if somebody finds a cognac leather case without any funky effects, let me know, okay?

Another unrelated question on the AK100 II and AK120 II:
Since they run Android, has anyone tried to "jailbreak" them in order to install APKs?

Yeah, there are some utterly hideous plastic cases for sale here in Tokyo I posted earlier.

I believe that is an AK100ii on the right, next to an AK120ii on the left.  Those are the stock cases included with each player.  You should be able to find some AK100ii owner selling theirs here or Ebay. . .

Or any recommendations of a different travel case?  I really like the case my 1964ears V6's came in, but there's no way to fit a DAP and CIEM's in there.
 
I ordered my Ak120ii yesterday, it's going to be a Valentines/Birthday gift from my wife.  I bought her Jewelery, so she is reciprocating...  I used to have to explain parts she would buy me to modify my Audi TT as "car jewelery".  I explained the A&K players as "Audio Jimmy Choo's".  Though thankfully she sticks with jewelery and not $600-$1500 shoes...

I'm looking for that perfect Peli case as well. I have the 1020 for my CIEMs and the rather large 1060 that would hold both my CIEMs and the DX90/PB2 stack I used to have. I'd love a compact case with room for just the 120II and CIEMs.

Edit: The Peli 1030 looks like it might be a perfect fit. Now who's going to take one for the team and see if it will hold the 120II and a set of ciems?

Dang it, that does it.  I already have a spare 1020, so I'm just going to have to buy a ak240 so it will fit!

I actually ordered the 1030 earlier today. Should be here Thursday. I don't have ciem's but I can see how well it fits the AK120II and a set of ie80's

Is it possible to use AK120II as an USB to Toslink converter?  Sorry if the wording of my question is confusing.  
 
I have the 120II and an ifi idsd micro.  If I connect a toslink cable from the AK to the micro and use the AK as a DAC... would the optical signal from the AK be processed by its internal DAC once already before reconverting to optical signal for output again?
