asking: what is the minimum and maximum requirement if I want to change the capacitor of my Z2?
Physical dimension is one of the aspects you need to consider. So, do your measure. Originally, this is supplied by a little over +/- 13V. The reservoir cap is mounted in between ground and negative rail. So, grab those with 16V min. You may follow its original capacitance 1000uF, or try sth else.
The other 2 little caps, you can pick the smallest voltage cap you can get your hands on. For the capacitance, you may stick with 100uF if you aren't change the resistance of the output resistors. Otherwise, you need to do your calculation on how low you want the player to perform.
Sorry, not much help provided, just some guiding principles.

Added some capacitors as per AK4450 datasheet + ferrite bead and extra decoupling caps in +5V, had to be creative to make them fit :L3000:

This improved LF dynamics and soundstage.

that good enough for me thanks!

maybe i want to change the 25v 1000uF to 2200uF and the 100uF to 470uF. trying to upgrade like that. hopefully it will works

For those pair of coupling caps, you may want to look for those audio grade caps, or at least, very low ESR. Pls beware of using too much capacitance caps, as the high frequencies may be affected. I guess 470uF should still be ok. Or perhaps, you may just short the terminals of each caps. The sound will be "truer", since those caps may colored the sound. However, you must then be very cautious when the battery is running low. The OPAMP may operate weirdly, and may then produces DC that will definitely spoil your earphones / headphones.

yeah I'm going for Nichicon FG minimum. no crappy standard capacitor.

thanks for the info

Received my Z2 and like it.
Would anybody share an upgare list for Z2?

Recieved my Z2 yesterday and wow, this little box sounds amazing compare to my xduoo x2, i'm using it with **** 4in1.

How do i know the firmware in my z2? Any way to check it? i think current fw is V0.2 because the sound check right is right and left is left, and i can change the eq..

taking stock of parts I have.
I have black gate 220 uf, think they are rated 4v only, can I replace those 100 uf ? Someone said above to use lowest possible voltage rating there. I have as well nichicon kw m , 25v 100 uf , muse bp 100 uf 25 v.
Can anybody give parts list, if such exist ? Thx

Yes, you may swap the BG in, but isn't the price of these pair of caps already higher than z2 itself?

I just have them from one project, why not to use.

The sq has changed. What happens when capacitance increases from 100 to 220 uf ?
