Wedge? They have a flat wide surface that sits on your head, compared to Momentums or Panasonics it's wider and more comfy I think.

Yes, wedge. It's tapered. The part of the headband that makes contact with your head is narrower that the top of the headband. The Beoplays are the same way. It needs to be wider to better distribute the pressure.

call me crazy but I think the difference between p7w and bayerdynamic dt 770 pro 16 ohms is less marked than it seems, because while p7 is a little more resolute and has better mids, the DT 770 offers a very wide soundstage also because of very average received .... I'm shaking, even though the price difference definitely the one hand deal!
P.S.
Today I have returned the qc35 Apple Store.

Charged my P7 Wireless last night for the first time and the connector seems really loose, just not a secure fit, like it could fall out.  Anyone else have this?

I use my LG G4 cable to charge as it is always around and it fits snugly into the P7 port.

Oh, so it is likely the P7 supplied cable that is under-spec on the USB male side.

Most likely, I don't have the stock one at hand to test with, but for sure my phone cable is nice and snug.

For those who like to test the P7W with a cable I'm sure it scales nicely as it has well designed drivers. I would love to hear it with an iFi iDSD Micro Black for one. The Mojo I'm sure is also excellent, but I wonder if it might make the P7 a little warm sounding given the already pushed forward mid-bass?

Quick initial impressions between the P7w and the M2w; very close race.  I honestly don't here much/any hiss with the P7 that some have talked of.  I wish the P7 had ANC.  It definitely makes a difference with the M2.  The P7 seems to have a bit more bass impact and a bit more clarity.  Comfort is very similar, but the P7 is a slightly larger cup.  A lot to like about both cans.  I'm definitely going to have a tough time picking, which will make a strong case for the M2's that I would have to sell at a loss.  For me the M2 advantages:

ANC
More compact

For the P7:

Slightly nicer design
Slightly better sound
Slightly larger ear cups
