How do you mean Laggy? Have you tried connecting directly to your router instead of wifi?
When playing my custom Amazon playlists through the Bluesound app, there is a sometimes 3-5 second delay when selecting a song from my playlist. I’ve contacted their support several times and have had no luck with getting it fixed. It seems it is an issue with custom playlists that contain a large number of songs. It can make it nearly unusable for playlists. When selecting songs from the normal Amazon menus it is pretty quick though.

I use it wirelessly but my router is less than 5 feet away and tests at over 700mbps so it isn’t an issue with the network especially since the problem is isolated to custom Amazon music playlists.

Ah ok. You never mentioned large playlists in your original post just the “laggy” reference.
Never use playlists so no view but non playlists Amazon is not laggy.

If you can, I'de try it with a direct ethernet connection to your router. Just as a troubleshooting step. Sometimes you can have a great signal to the router but still get interference. It's also possible the wifi on your 2i is just crapping out. I use the "My music" playlist on Amazon music quite a lot and it's a large one. Have never had that problem with my 2021 version. Both wired and wireless. Hope that helps.

Totally unrelated,
I'm looking into Roon because it's so freeking cool. Problem for me is I would have to sign back up with Tidal. We don't get Quobuz here . Wish Roon partnered with Amazon or Apple music. :triportsad: You can use the Node as a roon endpoint and the Ui is so ahead of everything else imo..

Hello,
How do you control your node, with the app on the PC or with a smartphone or tablet?
If you use it with a smartphone or tablet, it may be that it is too old and that is why there are delays.
Because the processor and memory take a long time to transmit the signal, with a PC it would be similar if it is quite old.

Otherwise, see if there is a software update.
Restarting the device can also help to clear the internal memory.
Sometimes it's the little things that cause more problems than the hardware itself.
700 m/bits should actually be enough.
Theoretically, if you haven't packed the playlist with 3000 songs and have divided it a bit into genres, it should actually work.
The playlist has loaded but may take time to display.

If Roon supports Amazon, you could try Roon, because Roon requires a little less memory and processor power, and you might have to download the Roon remote app if you don't always want to access the PC.
I personally didn't think the Bluesound app was very well done.

I have yet to try it wired to the router but might try just to eliminate that even though I’m confident that’s not the issue since I can stream instantaneously from any other part of Amazon music through the Bluesound app as well as any other music service in their app.

I use the Bluesound app on my iPhone 13 Pro so it’s not an old phone or an issue with the phone. This is the second Node 2i I’ve had that’s had the issue, swapped out my first one hoping it was a hardware issue but no luck. Both units had been updated, restarted, restored to factory settings etc with no change. The playlists I use have between 250-600 songs and it’s only an issue when I try to play a song from them or start the playlist then there is a 3-5 second delay from when I click on a song and when it starts.

Hi: I never had the lag issue before on my NODE,but the last two nights I had to restart my Window laptop and that seemed to 'fix' the laggy problem.
I was getting lag when using Amazon plus Radio Paradise.Huck

Just wanted to report that my Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 communicates with my Galaxy Fold 3 smartphone running BluOS android app and the watch controls the Node 2021 streaming tracks perfectly. I had not realized this before.

Excuse the dust and dirt, had to fire the maid.

Had my Node for around a year I guess and love it. Final piece of the puzzle. No vinyl revival for moi.

Was a pain waiting for USB to kick in, but it's not night and day better by any means I reckon.

HDMI arc works with the GF's new TV, albeit with minor hiccups in the app. Frankly I'd get rid of the TV, but it's her house.

Gotta say I love radio paradise. Hi res for free.

Agree that Radio Paradise is super good.
