Any opinion on 2016 MusicMaker MrZ Tomahawk since Blox not readily available?

If this is too far off topic for this thread please disregard!

Thanks I saw those threads. I was wondering how the Tomahawk compares to various Blox. The price is about the same.

Blox and Tomahawk are different. Blox usually have a smooth sound signature (well, I've heard that BE7 is more thin sounding with slightly sharper treble).
Tomahawk has got an energetic sound that can be exhausting in the long run for some. The sound is forward and upper mids/treble are enhanced. I really like them, but others hate them so you are taking a big chance when buying them.

You could check out BOE Black Onyx. It seems to be close to the Blox sound. It's a Thai earbud and can usually only be bought directly from the maker(Earbud Thailand), but I saw an Indonesian seller on Ebay selling Black Onyx for $33 with shipping included. I thought about buying but I've already got too many earbuds...

Edit: now the Ebay listing is removed, but you should be able to find Black Onyx from the maker on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/earbudsthailand/

Thanks for the info! I'll hold off on the Tomahawk.

I ordered two pairs of Monk+ and should arrive in a few weeks. IEM's aren't so compatible with my ear canals (foam tips help) so I hope the earbuds with be good alternative. The DIY earbuds are pretty fascinating! I'll keep an eye on Blox. I like the sound - from the description anyway.

I had the BE5. I say don't worry about it. Not a must have. Put your money toward a better BLOX.

Currently rocking a BE200 and truly enjoy the sound right off the box just like @Golov17 said.
Crips high, smooth and clear mids, deep low, tall and wide sound stage, depth is so so.

I am wondering if I need to collect the older models or just wait for the new flagship.
Say, how do the ANV3 or TM7 compared to BE200?
How long do I need to burn in?

Now I am a fan!
