I have a pair of Dt990 600Ohms on the way, but my finger is itchy and I want to order a pair of T90s also and just keep one.

Amazon has them for $650, is that a fair price for T90s?

Also, can the good old Fiio E9 properly power a T90? If not what amp for them thats under $300?

Sorry I can't research much atm, I work on an airforce base with limited access to websites :(

If anybody owns a pair please let me know what you think of them!

Thanks

I'm a DT990 Pro 250-Ohm and T70 owner.
I'm guessing the T90 will have better over all sound quality and the 250-Ohm T90s will also be slightly easier for the Fiio E9 to drive.
What are you using for a DAC?
and what audio source(s) is the headphones used for?

Might be just better (and cheaper) just to buy a Little Dot MKIII ($255) for use with the DT990 Premium 600-Ohm.

Hey there,

I'm using a Titanium HD as my DAC  (Titanium HD -->RCA to 3.5 --> Fiio E9 --> DT990), gaming is my main priority so this is the best DAC for me.  Music is a close second, using foobar with FLAC.  I think you could be right with the Little Dot MKIII, seems like it could be the best bang for the buck, especially since I paid $250 for my 990s.

Thanks PurpleAngel

BTW is the MKIII sold on Ebay and ships from China in 10 days??!!    LOL jk

Check Head-Fi's "Amplifiers for Sale" thread, might find a good deal on a used LD MKIII or maybe another amplifier you fancy.

Will do, do you think the MKIII is the best amp for under $300?

I think the LD MKIII has fairly good feedback on Head-Fi, but the most I've ever spend myself on a tube amp. is $90 (Indeed EH 6922).
So I have very little experience to say which is the best tube amplifier under $300.
The Little Dot MKIII is the tube amplifier I've been tempted to buy myself.
Ask people in the following thread if they regret buy their LD MKIII
