Beyerdynamic T1 vs. Ultrasone Edition 8?

Showing how fragile my judgements can be I have now reevaluated the Edition 8s and find their treble edgy and unrealistic compared with some much cheaper favourites including Focal Spirit Pros; PSB MRU2; Thinksound PO and even Sennheiser Momentum.
Go figure!
