Hi friends,

I love the nice sound of my (now almost a year) well burned-in 880s.
What amplifier could be the finest step forward from Darkvoice 3322 for Beyer DT-880 (potential gain is expected presumably in the area of pace and rhythm, as well as in slightly stronger bass).
I have the following, as the option:

- HiFiMan EF5
- Matrix M-stage
- Rudistor NX-03

Would it be, maybe, better off going Little dot MKIV SE route?
I don't know, but whether do LD scores better than DV3322 at this juncture?
Unfortunately, Woo Audio (which would definitely be shortlisted in the above written)  is not available for custom-free buying in my country.

Thanks for any input.

Little dots MK III / MK IV are known to pair well with High impedance Beyers.
I personally prefer LD MK IV SE (I have same headphones as you and currently i am collecting money for LD MK IV SE :-D)

Hi, an update...
I have auditioned Matrix but wasn't being able to find improvements over Darkvoice 3322.
Since Rudistor is a costlier animal here, making about 500 or even 600 Eur, I have decided to
spend my money (360 Eur) for Little Dot MK IV SE. Hope I will find some improvement.

Another thing that might pop-up is the NuForce Icon HDP/pre DAC trade.
I feel those two are not much of alike, wondering what replacement in similar or slightly higher price bracket
might be suitable for LDIV SE?

Having had CA Dacmagic, which I was listening with satisfaction (dislike heat and insulting Wallwart power supply) some thoughts are:
- MF V-DAC with appropriate separate higher priced PSU.
- MF DAC M1
- Arcam rDAC without wireless mumbo-jumbo (PSU might have been a problem)
- Audio GD 19 or higher presumably Wolfson WM8741-based DAC

Any contribution would be kindly appreciated.

Thanks

I went from the DV 3322 (still own it) to the LaFigaro 339. The latter is definitely a giant step (maybe 3 or 4) forward. That is, if you want to stay with tubes. Some members with Beyers have posted here (ignore the title as the manufacturer's name is LF not DV):

Best regards.

A lot of people are happy using a Decware CSP2+ with 600 Ohm Beyers. I myself have one on order to power my T1.

Well it seems to be a much costlier option, methinks.
Unfortunately or luckily I have already ordered LD IV.
Any input regarding DAC? Ihave been hesitating to buy Little Dot DAC_I, but maybe this could be the better option than above mentioned DACs.

I really love the Matrix Mini-I. Great value in my opinion

Yes, I thought about that though.
Is it AD1955 inside?
This might be a nice one I already had Yulong DAC - Mark 1 with the same chip and similar power supply  implementation
and it was wonderful. Trade for some other things...

Does Matrix Mini-I have fixed outputs?

Right now two main things that bother me are:
Nasty volume knob depended output on Nufoce DAC-HDP and two volume knobs on Darkvoice DV-3322.
