I just got the Schiit combo and am looking to get a pair of Beyerdynaimc dt 770 pro's but have no clue which version I should get. I listen to a lot of Tool and Queens of the stone age type rock music. If anyone could point me into the right direction that would be great

DT770/80 sound great on my magni (as do all my cans).  If you'd like a little less bass (more balanced sound), perhaps the 250s? I chose the /80s for a little flexibility for portability.
 
if you live near a guitar center, you can probably audition them there.
 
there are a number of strong comparisons between them here at head-Fi.  Perhaps a search will dig up a few detailed comparisons to get you started.

Which ever is the least expensive. Both will be virtually the same.
