Ok, I cut out the mesh from my Hybrids, they got much better, especially in the midrange and treble, but the base was still to much exaggerated for my taste.

Hello fellow treble heads, I'm running my 1990s with A pad thru iFi Hip DAC with trubass engaged. Overall satisfied with the sound signature but want to pad roll and see which ones can squeeze a more sub bass out of these can while dialing down the treble just a tiny bit. Thoughts?

I think that's the very definition of the B pads.Hello fellow treble heads, I'm running my 1990s with A pad thru iFi Hip DAC with trubass engaged. To my ears the B pads sounded boomy with a mid bass emphasis and a little harsher on the top end. A pads got rid of the boomyness and tamed the top end peakiness a bit, so I'm looking for something that'll increase sub bass and smoothen out the highs just a little bit more.I think that's the very definition of the B pads.
From what I understand, Dekoni Elite Velour will perform between the A and B pads, I have them on order and hope to get them this week.To my ears the B pads sounded boomy with a mid bass emphasis and a little harsher on the top end. I'm looking for A pads with more sub bass and just a little more taming of the treble. Lmk what you think of the velour pads, they seem to be the go to recommendation for the 1990s. I'm curious how the Dekoni suede pads make these sound, from the FR it seems to elevate the sub bass region by a significant amount.

I have the Elite Hybrids and Velours for the DT-1990, and even with those the subbass doesn't get all that much better. Which is why I moved onto planars.I'm looking for A pads with more sub bass and just a little more taming of the treble. Extremely bloated bass and the 6khz dip is so noticeable. The velour pads are a keeper though.

I use Zen Dac + Zen Can combo with my 1990 and the X-Base make wonders on 1990, even with the A pads.

I have a new pair of DT 1990 coming in today. They are stupid expensive in my country. You guys with your discount prices are very lucky. I own the T1.2 interested to see how they compare. Since I paid full price plus I am expecting Beyer to discontinue this model and come out with a replacement very soon. It has been about 6 years for these. I don't have any special info but it seems logical time for a replacement/upgrade. Usually happens when I order at full price. I have 3 different tube amps to try with this so we shall see.
