That Brain burn in (or hardware burn in) settles now really in after a month. Since 3 days there is no sibilance or harshness anymore. And a really deep and precise 3d holographic stage and imaging. Sound really natural.

I gave my 990 today a listen and they don't sound like i remember them. unatural thin hollow and alot of information is missing

I feel like my 990 Pros had a notably wider soundstage and bigger bass relative to my A-pad 1990s, but no question that the 1990s have way more sound and balance across the spectrum. I actually sold my 990s since they just sit now.

Yeah my 770 had bigger soundstage too. Soundstage is not really strongest point of 1990 but imaging is extremely precise.

I've purchased my DT1990s from Amazon.co.uk. They were sold as "Brand New".
However, one of the earpads is marked with a blue marker on its inner side.
Did anyone else receive a marked earpad with their DT1990 or was I sent a used unit?

Hey. I didn't see any mark on my earpads but these headphones are handcrafted in Germany and they use that blue pen to mark some stuff. Some of their drivers have similiar marks inside the earcup. It's harmless. It should be brand new.

Yoo i'm jealous. Especially the RME ADI... Personally i need to buy something like Susvara, LCD4, Utopia etc... to justify buying RME ADI. They are expensive for me but worth every penny. Good product.
The adi is that good even my girlfriend approved it ( because of the bass knob mainly )

Very nice setup. The RME is an amazing piece of kit. You can get just about any sound you want out of it with the PEQ and bass/treble tone controls on it. Learning to use all of the RME avaliable features can be intimidating at first. Once you learn to use them, you be able to tweak just about any headphone you have. So far, I have about 11 presets saved. The headphone output is also quite good and there's no need for external amps majority of the time.

I'm curious about your thoughts of the RME with the DT1990's. I can't imagine they need to be tweaked that much. I find the DT1990's pretty balanced sounding already. Especially with the balanced pads which bring down the high frequencies.

I will also try my hybrid pads again with the RME and some PEQ + Treble, let's see if this change something, since they was to dark before.

Today also arrived my last piece in the puzzle, my handmade custom cable from Sky Audio Cables, i can really recommend it for it's awesome build quality.
