I had a friend over tonight to show off my DT 1990 and Asgard 2 headphone system. He loved the amp and liked the headphones but preferred the plummier sound of his Audeze LCD-2. OK, I thought, he'll like the Balanced pads. I removed the Analytic pads and installed the first Balanced pad after after wrestling with it for 5 minutes. I could not get the second Balanced pad installed before he left. Talk about embarrassing. I preferred the DT 1990 to the Audeze, but really Beyer, is this the best you can do for replacing ear cups?

The exchange of earpads could actually be easier.
If you really want to change the earpads regularly, you better get a second pair DT1990.

Maybe you have big hands, I slightly raise the rubber seal to get it started on the notch then I keep it as flush as possible when I'm turning it slowly,I make sure the notch is closest to me so I can watch the seal going onto the frame, I find it quite easy now

You have got to hear the beyerdynamic Dt 1990 through this beast,I've never heard anything so clear through any headphone I've owned, not tried my Aeon open yet

Mate they destroy the Utopia through the 2 qute and trilogy 933,this absolutely annihilates it, I would tell anyone to buy this dac and save on the most expensive headphones unless money isn't a problem,I enjoyed my beyerdynamic Dt 1990 through my oppo 205 but this changes these headphones into something else, mind blowing
