Beyerdynamic Amiron Home versus DT1990 Pro
The package with the Beyerdynamic Amiron Home just arrived today, sounds a little different to the DT1990 Pro (with analytic pads).
I have to wait until it's burned in, which means that the pads have adapted to the shape of my head.
It still works, a little fuller, warmer than the DT1990, BeyerPeak not noticeable (EQ on flat).
Amiron doesn't have as fine a resolution as a scalpel (domain of the K812, Composer, DT1990) - a little more pleasant for long-term music, room and stage seem a little closer, more intimate.
There's nothing wrong with the workmanship. The housing is mostly made of plastic, which is normal in this price range. Fit (contact pressure) lighter than DT1990 Pro, Composer. Still sits firmly and doesn't slip when head moves.
Amiron pads are covered in more velvet than the two sets of the DT1990 Pro. Foam is not as soft and supple as the analytic pads of the DT1990 Pro. Could change over time (and it already is).
A second, shorter cable would be a hit for Amiron, Beyerdynamic only offers the much more expensive T1.3 / T5.3.
This is just a first impression of Amiron, without a longer break-in.
Music: Allan Tailor, All Is One; various tracks by Pink Floyd, Grateful Dread,
PS: For the direct comparison, it is good that my headphone amplifier Austrian.Audio Full Score one has two headphone jacks and the two headphones have almost identical sensitivity, so you can switch quickly.
Summary:
Of course, the Austrian.Audio Composer headphones offer more fine resolution, fine dynamics, neutrality, airiness, separation between artists, etc., which is to be expected given the price difference.
If you are looking for mid-range headphones for little money, you should also consider these two Beyerdynamics. Everyone has to decide for themselves what they like.
If I have any new information, I will add it.
