Better than the Beats Pro for under $250?

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm, FULL bass headphones.
Will work without a headphone amplifier, but only decently.
Headphone amplifiers bring out their best.
Really good price for new and used on eBay.

Headphone amplifiers
Fiio E11 or E6 if you want to save a few dollars.
But really should get the E11.

Don't expect with certainty that they will think any non-Beats headphones sound better, even if you give them some $1000 cans. It's called endowment effect.  It just means the owners are biased in their judgement merely by owning an item.

Some people reported how their non-audiophile friends were underwhelmed with their high-end gear and still prefered their Beats, stock earbuds, etc.

I would want a portable headphone that costs less than $350,
Which can outweigh Beats Pro in every aspect .

Req    :
Lows : Deeper and more sub bass, rumble, good extension
Mids : Crisp and detailed vocals , spacious and airy and not recessed nor laid back, should be at the sweet spot.
highs : extremely smooth highs, non sibilant nor harsh trebles, but detailed yet warm.
soundstage : very wide and spacious with good timbre and instrument separation with 3d imaging and dynamics .

Beyerdynamic dt770 is a good choice, The pros sound good though, Very lively and musical with POWERFUL bass but not overpowering. I also recommend the Mrspeakers mad dog are also an excellent option! they are balaced with biggg bass!

V-Moda M-100 is one of the best bass cans around, clear highs bur recessed mids. DOESN'T NEED AMPING.

AND

It looks awesome, way better than any of beats headphones. You can even customise the shields.

People from your school will be astonished.

Maybe the lp2, the M100 might be too expensive
