I have this one as well and it has been very good. There is a new 4500 out with N capabilities you may want to look at.

If you are a Mac user, get the Airport Extreme or a Time Capsule. I get 90Mbps actual measured throughput (as opposed to 54Mbps marketing BS from 802.11g that you never reach even in ideal conditions) from my MacBook Pro to my Airport Extreme (running in the 5GHz band) and on to my Gigabit LAN.

If you use Windows or Linux, get a model that supports 802.11n (they are all 802.11g compatible if you have devices that don't support it yet), and get one that offers you the option of running in the less crowded 5GHz band so you don't interfere with neighbors, cordless phones or microwave ovens.

The D-Link DIR-655 gets good reviews, and the upcoming DIR-855 will even allow you to run both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands simultaneously as it has dual radios.

D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router

Not cheap (129.99 MSRP I think it is cheaper on newegg and at costco) but if you have N enabled devices it is very nice, very small too, imac 30 feet away showed no difference from wired gigabit in transfers, hp laptop 20 feet away from the routers location and then down a floor from there with only g performed very well too.

When I upgraded from a Netgear g router to the WNR834B N-router ($99), there was a significant improvement in streaming to a Sqeezebox. This is especially so streaming high bitrate 24/96 HD music files (even though the SB reportedly only passes 16 bit). You just cannot reliably transmit 3000 kbps any distance or through walls short of N wirelessly.

I use an Ativa with my Mac. Though I'm wired and my sister is wireless with her laptop.

I used a Belkin Wireless G router system for a few years with no problems and decided to upgrade to a wireless N system because it was on sale at my job and i like new toys.
I havent had any problems at all with Belkin, and the customer service help desk was awesome at helping me hook it all up.

DGL-4300 D-Link for G
DGL-4500 D-Link for N

I will tell you that D-link customer service sucks but they are the most reliable routers I have ever had. They have some non gaming high end models as well for less dough. Also try to search Newegg buy customer review, that will tell you alot. Ive had Linksys and have never had much luck. DIR-655 mentioned above is great for N if gaming features don't float your boat.

i just got a linksys wrt600n the last week, it was on sale with the local store. at first i was having a hard time setting it up, but after a few tries i did get it. used the 2.4ghz band with g, and the 5ghz band with n. though the linksys programs isn't that great, but the features and the speed is great. no problems so far.

by the way, i'm using the wusb600n with a laptop to use with the n standard, another laptop is using the g.
